Jelli ran with Iadsgb, tears streaming down her face, through the corridors of The Manipulator towards where the boarding corridors linked that ship to The Desolation.

“Out!” Iadsgb shouted to the other F.I.S. leaders who were waiting for him by the corridor and pointed down it.
“Sir?” Stallion started to ask but Iadsgb just said,
“Not now. Bad timing. We’re off.”

They all ran down the boarding corridor towards their own ship.

Back on The Manipulator’s bridge;
“DETATCH THE BOARDING CORRIDORS!” Padfoot bellowed into his comlink at the captain in charge of them. The other leaders were either trying to get the door open or helping each other out of their binders.

The boarding corridors suddenly detached from The Manipulator and left a huge hole in the end of the tunnel.

Iadsgb and the other leaders all grabbed onto the wall of the corridor to stop themselves from being sucked out into space.

“ARGH!!” Jelli screamed as she struggled to hold on with her wrists still bound together.

Slowly they pulled themselves along the ridged walls towards The Desolation.

The vacuum sucked at them but they managed to hold on and they hauled themselves into their flagship just as the other end of the corridor detached and the whole thing dropped away into space.

The air lock sealed and they dropped to the floor in a heap.
“Well.” Iadsgb commented sarcastically. “That went well.”

Falcon helped Padfoot get out of his binders just as the bridges doors were forced opened.

“Go! Get down they’re and see if they’re still on board!” he shouted and everyone ran from the room.

“I’ll be here if you need me.” Blast muttered as the room became deserted.

Fixer undid Jelli’s binders as they walked through The Desolation. She was silently crying and her hot breathing fogged up her visor. She stumbled after the other leaders, almost like a captive, as they speed-walked towards the bridge.

“Fire at The Manipulator!” Iadsgb shouted as they walked into the room a couple of minutes later.

Cannons fired out and lasers flew across the small gap to the enemy ship.
“Get us out of here!” the F.I.S. leader called to a captain, and slowly the ship started to move forwards.

“They’ve gone! They must be back on The Des’.” Hess said as they reached the airlock where the boarding corridor had joined.

Just then the first of the lasers crashed into them and the ship rocked.
“Back to the bridge!” Padfoot ordered and they all charged back the way they had come.

Blast sat in the pilot’s seat of The Skylark with the holo-projector still whirring away in front of him so that he could still see the bridge of The Manipulator.

Suddenly the leaders came back into view as they rushed back into the room, Padfoot giving out orders as they went.

“Padfoot!” Blast called to him and the second in command jogged over to him.
“Sir?”
“What’s going on?” Blast asked.
“The F.I.S. are escaping. We need to follow them.” Padfoot replied quickly, trying to get away and help in the chase.

“Yes but…” Blast started but he was cut off by multiple shouts from the bridge.
“No!” Padfoot shouted in reply to somebody on the bridge. He disappeared from view and left Blast frowning after him. A moment later he came back into view.
“They’ve gone into hyperspace.”
“Argh.” Blast moaned.

“Have we got a tracker?” Padfoot called to someone.
“No. We’ve lost them.” Flare’s voice came back. Padfoot put his hands behind his head and clenched his jaws, thinking hard.
“So what now?” Blast asked.
Padfoot continued to think and then replied, “We’re coming to get you. Send me your co-ordinates.”

And so a little while later Blast had handed over his co-ordinates and the two U.R.S. ships had altered course and started off to get him.
Blast ended the connection to Padfoot and slumped back into his chair.

Suddenly he heard a hissing sound and looked over his shoulder. Familiar purple smoke had appeared and was swirling around faster and faster.

. R.K. got up and stood watching it until the head OvaSeer was formed.
“I warned you Blast! If you had let things be, the war would now be over. But no; you’re R.K. Blast and therefore must do the right thing.” Bisvernicof said in a magnified voice. “That was your last chance and you blew it! I warned you what would happen if you failed to end the war! Things have gone too far. As head of the OvaSeers, I declare war on both the United Rebelling Systems and the Federation of Independent Systems.” His voice echoed throughout the ship and the sky rumbled with thunder. “As of this moment we are enemies Blast.”

Blast watched him with an expressionless face.
“The OvaSeers will now destroy you both. Starting with the F.I.S..” he swooped forwards in his swirling cloud so that his face was right up against Blast’s. “This war has been going far too long. We will now make it end.”

And with that he exploded in deep purple smoke, throwing a shocked Blast off his feet back into the cockpit controls.

He crashed to the floor and looked up at where the pair had just been. Bisvernicof had gone.
“Iadsgb.” Blast groaned and pushed himself up.
