My first Bricklink order arrived earlier this week. I now have quite a few more red, black and grey sloped pieces, as well as more tiles. I have a couple of builds planned which use these elements to the full, however I wanted to acquaint myself with my expanded selection of pieces - it was actually quite daunting. I settled on this bit of whimsy, a remake of the Crimson Dart (my first SNOT fighter) as a test run. The aim was simple, to create a MOC with a full 360 SNOT build (no studs), and work out an interesting wing shape.
I guess the aim is reached!! Still the same efficient SNOT building served by a smart design. Like the others say: everyone could build this little ship. That makes you a talented builder: your ability to create simple but great design.
There's not many things better than a jiffy bag full of shiny new pieces popping through the letter box :) Nice reworking of this, and great SNOT - the swept back wings are something I'll have to try at some point I think, very effective!
Hey, David, you've definitely given me hope on how to build LEGO space craft in a SNOT format! What is more is that you made your SNOT techniques in a very unusual as well as unorthodox manner and the result is a pure winner. I also like the retro styled fighter that you made and I also hope to see more space creations come from you because this is indeed a nice little fighter craft.
