HMS Sirius, Royal Navy Frigate, 34 Guns
HMS Sirius is from a class of four single deck frigates, patrolling the waters of the Empire. She sits over a metre long and just under a metre high. Sirius has angled quarter lights with signal locker at the stern and a heads at the bow. Standing on deck are a detachment of Royal Marines keeping good order! Sirius has just taken on victuals and is preparing to make sail in search of the " Achille" with instructions to sink her or take her as prize. Credit to Captain Green Hair for the superb tutorial on angled hulls. Please rate it and give me your feedback, the other 3 frigates will be posted in due course.

A number of Identical ships looks cool, I never succeeded in doing that though, everytime I make a somewhat larger ship and I want to make another one just like it I always end up improving the design and adding more features. I think some small differences would be nice, I'm looking forward to a groupshot of all ships when you finish them. I also suggest that you should take some new pictures showing the complete ship from some other angles (like from sea-level).

Hello chap, I have now made 4 of these, they are virtually identical upto deck level. I havent started the rigging on the other 3 yet due to the amount of time it takes!

Hello chap, thanks for your review, I experimented around with the length for quite sometime before going for the 13 guns on each side. I am working on a wider one but that is in the future, as for the other 3 they are now at gun deck level, whats your thoughts on making them identical?

well this ship is bigger than my Mermaids Trident, (or atleast i think so) but no ship can be safe, when the Grim Reaper is inbound, anyhow. nice ship, i like the stern and the slopes at the sides nice detail, ive been trying to make such a cabin, many times, but ive always failed to do so, but im atleast working on it, so that the MT IV, has it, and if you made a costum hull, and did make it around 8 studs wider, then it would fit the lenght

My first impression is that she's too long compared to her width (or too narrow for her lenght). That's the restriction of prefab hull parts (for such large ships I'd rather make a costum hull) . The stern galleries are nicely intergrated in the ship. The angled sides are not easely noticed because of the overhanging parts. Overall a nice ship, captain greenhair has inspired me as well to make frigates, are you going to make identical frigates?
