About this creation
Come visit! This sculpture and 26 others are touring the U.S. now through 2014. Over 25 larger-than-life sculptures created with nearly half a million LEGO pieces! Read more and come visit!

This cute little frog is life-sized and was built with 530 pieces, installed in a real lake set next to five giant lily pads, a koi and a water lily (lotus bloom). See more photos of the koi and the lily pads.

The sculptures were assembled in my New York City art studio, then custom-crated in museum-quality exhibition crates installed in April 2012 at Reiman Gardens in Iowa as part of my traveling exhibition, Nature Connects. In October 2012 it will travel to it's next location, so stay tuned for updates!

...Two LEGO CITY fireman were last seen in angry pursuit of their missing helmets...

A Scare-frog? =) One wonders if its presence on the pad affects the proximity of flies, IRL (our pseudo-Owl has worked wonders for predators after our Koi Pond;P ). Cheers, Sean~ |

This is great. frogs are my favorite animals, and this one is the best lego model of one ive ever seen. I like your idea of using fire helmets for eyes! |

I like this one just a bit more over the other ones you are presenting these days, I think because the frog has a lovely elegance over it. Just one little question:
I am aware you are a professional, and I am convinced you have ABS streaming in your vains: Don't you have to gasp every time you glue a piece to another?
Fanatastic work, I hope to see more from you andyour team!! |

The eyes obviously take the cake. Fantastic. But they distract everybody form the perfect overall shape of the frog! Looks like he is ready to jump off that pad and right into the water at any moment. Really a cool little guy. Attack! |

The 2x2 curved slopes over the eyes are my favourite part, it looks just like a frog's ridged brow. Great work! |
