There are many dragons on MOCpages, so I thought I'd do a little variation on the theme and build a wyvern. i wanted to create a snaking body; also I wanted to use a classic castle flag for his tongue.

If your minifigs ever come to life and start to terrorise you, you only have yourself to blame ;) Great parts usage as always, the tongue - in fact the whole head in particular is very intricate and effective! |

George the slugly dragon was a very sad dragon, he was holed up in his lair when another knight suffering from smiley suicidal syndrome came to his lair to poke him with stabby things that George hates, poor George he doesn't even walk very fast because he does not have feet. He cant fly either because he has holes in his wings. Poor George.
Funny and true. |

pretty good, but i think the dragon could use some improvement, especially the arms and part of the head. |

I knew in an instant it was yours! Yes, funny how ideas pop up around one thing/piece/whatever! I've got a head of a sorta dragon variety that has been sitting around waiting for an ah-ha moment! Anyhoo, a winsome wyvern! :)
I'm looking forward to your technic ted and the dragon moc with trepidation. |

Your use of minifig legs for movable parts is clever and your wing solution is unique and interesting.
The wings were particularly hard to get right. I had some black bony wings at first (similar to my Balrog), but they really didn't work. The final solution was a real trial and error puzzle. |

Great Job! The snaking and draping of the body is really good. The usage of the flag for the tongue is brilliant. I like how the idea started from a single piece and a creation developed around it. My building is often driven the same way. |

Very cool, David. Looks very much like a wyvern. Really clever use of the SNOT technique. I love the use of the flag. Very convincing.
The whole thing was based around the use of that flag. Strange where our ideas start out from. |

Nice job. Love the tongue and wings are great too. From the pieces used it looks like you have one of the creator dinosaur sets? I have the same set.
Yes I have the creator dinosaur set, my brother gave it to me as a present 4 or 5 years ago. |
