Goruq Da was a male Cathar Jedi during the final years of the Republic. Goruq was discovered as an infant to be Force sensitive in the last year of the Clone Wars and was brought to the Jedi Temple for testing by Master Ry-Gaul. However the Council chose not to train Goruq as they believed him to weak in the Force.
Despite the Council's decision Ry-Gaul returned to Goruk after the execution of Order 66 and began to train him. Da grew in strength as Gaul had predicted and was on his way to passing his trials. However, in a skirmish with the Empire Da and Gaul were separated. The young Cathar never saw his Master again but managed to continue his training through the use of holocrons. He eventually joined the fight against the Empire before going on to serve Grand Master Harash Soru in the Jedi Master's Order where he fought bravely in the Hidden War.
