A small yet nimble frigate dedicated to protecting the heavy cruisers of G.A.I.A.'s fleet. Enjoy!
About this creation

With the immense size of most of GAIA's fleet, it became a major problem dealing with large numbers of mid-tonnage craft, who were small enough to avoid cruisers' main weaponry, yet powerful enough to fend off fighters. Thus, the 'Resolute' was born, designed to deal with pesky corvettes, frigates, and heavy fighters.

Pretty much just a tablescrap, but a fun build nonetheless. Build time was roughly an hour.

One large twin cannon on the bow of the frigate makes quick work of passing fighters and bombers.

A quadruple heavy battery is mounted in the center of the ship to target heavier opponents. The bridge, like most GAIA vessels, is located high and dry on the rear of the vessel.

A fixed cannon at the bow provides additional defense against larger craft.

The engines are guarded by light turrets, which keep fighters from damaging them.

The engines themselves are fairly secluded for protection. However, they are incredibly powerful, allowing for the 'Resolute' to keep up with the larger ships in the fleet.

Traditionally, GAIA ships do not incorporate defenses on the lower hull, and frigates are no exception. Instead, a small fighter bay is located on the underbelly. This particular model had its fighter bay fitted with an additional shield generator, which is common for frigates and other small craft whose mission is to ferry executives from one cruiser to another, rather than engage in combat.

And guess what? It doubles as a shower! My last GAIA MOC resulted in many comments demanding a shower scene, as is tradition in the group. Hope this fits the bill!

Cool shape and details! The colors are little blah but it's still pretty cool anyways. Great idea of having two things in one! Great work! |

Naked girls on board of space-battleships^^
Okay, enough of that! Sweet ship. Considering the pieces I see there, this turned out surprisingly sleek. |

That last picture was totally unexpected O_O Haha nice job, table scraps are always fun. Plus they often turn out pretty good... I sometimes build better when I'm not trying. |

Good build! I like the small details, such as the fighter bay! The part with the shower was kinda' rude though... |

Yeah, high-energy plasma isn't the best way to get clean. But oh well, the AFOLs will get a kick out of it. ;) |

Hahaha, Barto's gonna love this too, shower scenes are just vital. How multifunctional! Very cute build, looks like it was fun, in truth I have much more fun doing these smaller as well. My Artemis scout was a total joy, the Tellurian did my head in by the end...
Long live GAIA!!! |

Pretty sweet ship! Really like the use of the window shutters and the greebles at the bottom! That would be pretty awesome to have a spacecraft-shaped shower... ;) |

Well, the colors are generally separated, red being almost exclusively on the underside, blue on top. Neat build though. |

Yeah, I'm not quite so good at laying out such conflicting colors as Parrington is. ;) |
