Drakuon, the Legend
Arguably one of my best creations ever.
About this creation
Name: Drakuon

Title(s) : None

Race: Rozacka

Element(s) : Chaos

Occupation: Unknown

Personality: Unknown

Bio: Drakuon is a local legend in the Rozackan town of Rogkar. The legend states that Drakuon is the bringer of the apocalypse, and that he is waiting for the right time to destroy the world. He lives beneath the extinct volcano, Mount Rogkar, after which the town is named. The truth though, is far from what the legend says. Drakuon was actually the first Ascended Rozacka (The Rozacka call the completely dragon-like of their kind “ascended”.) in over 7,000 years. The Ascended Ones are complete engines of power. One Ascended is as strong as Atlas himself and has the elemental prowess of the greatest Rozackan Warrior due to their Tvaren. The Rozackan Higher-ups thought that Drakuon needed to be protected in case they needed him in the future. So they devised a plan. A cruel plan, but a plan nonetheless. Just a month after he was born, a few Rozackan special-ops took him from his parents and brought him to the King’s castle. The King personally raised him like a son, and trained him to be a great warrior. No one even knew he existed. Once he was fully grown, the King had him put into a sort of hibernation that could only be broken if the Rozackan people were put into danger. He then placed him into a secret room inside the magma chamber beneath Mount Rogkar, and presented the people of Rogkar with “The Legend of Drakuon”. The King thought that Drakuon would remain there for the rest of his life, but he was wrong. Out of sheer chance, Mount Rogkar, the volcano which was thought to be extinct, erupted…

I can honestly say that Drakuon is one of the coolest things I’ve ever built.

He can even open his mouth! :D

The wings’ membrane is made from leftover felt from a costume my lil’ bro made.

The wings can fold too.

Comparison with Solace. Now mind you, Solace is about 11-12 inches tall, so Drakuon is very large by some people’s standards.

You probably saw this coming, but… Brofist!

A closer look at the Moc without its wings.

Later!

I'm personally a really big fan of dragons, so I pretty much skimmed quite sharply through this with my eyes. All I can say is that this is nearly flawless for a dragon. The anatomy is nearly perfect (and I'm an anatomy freak), I love to see the back legs in the correct position for a change. (I hate the awkward backward bends, when I see one.) Two minor complaints though, you don't need to care of them. 1. I'm not very fond of the dragon headpiece, as I'd prefer custom heads, but in this occasion it fits, so I somewhat approve it. 2. The wing anatomy needs a bit fixing, considering that wings have elbows too. Although it may cause the wings to not stay up, so it's not too necessary. Either way this creation totally works. Nice job.

I personaly consider that this is one of your best MOCs, but I'm not sure about this is the best from you. Though design is enterely custom, and I understand that build torsos could be a pain, I think that you could have built the waist more... armored. The chest is awesome, seriously, like all the front of the MOC. All of this MOC shows your incredible potencial and ability as a MOCer. MORE LIKES, PEOPLE, MORE LIKES!!

That dragon has a great look to it. The lines are well set and the proportions are great. I like how you did the wings. That is the way I would like to do the wings if/when I make Smaug out of real bricks. Very cool.

I can honestly say you're right. :D The body and neck must be my favorite parts. Great NPU with the Jutlin. The body might need a bit more bulk, but amazing anyway.

Whoa. That is really awesome! Excellent designs, and great use of the felt! Just for the record, my definition of big is somewhere around seven inches tall, so this is huge.
