MOCpages is awash with Tumblers but this is the first "proper" batmobile that I've spotted and I think that it's excellent. I had a Dinky toys car like this, when I was kid, 30 years ago. It's great how you've packed all of the details into this mini-fig scale build, I especially like the angled rocket launcher tubes at the back. |

it s nice, and obviously recognisable at first glance, but, somehow I can t help but, to think you can do a little better on this one, the front looks a bit different, orion pax has spoiled us in these kinds of vehicles, it s not easy matching his work, I did a batmobile myself, but, it s not based on any real model, I took the easy road lol! you did so much great models, that I expect better all the time, I m sure you can do it henrik, push the envelope further!!!
Constructive critic is always most welcome! Actually I dont think I can improve this one. -It´s pretty correct already. As you rightly point out; the major problem is with the front. DOnt think that I havent tried alternative solutions. At the end I simply had to let go of the headlight and turn-indicators. At least I got some air-intakes in the right colour-combo. I also added a "tooth" for dramatic effect. The rest of the car is kept rather plain, so as to capture the slickness of the original one. Personally I think that mine is more accurate than O.P.´s oncertain points, but the building styles are totally different anyway, so I think there is room for both (and more!)

Sweet Futura man! The 55 Futura has always been my favorite Batmobile, never saw the show (it was on almost 30 years before I was born), but saw it in Batman the movie and fell in love! In practicality, I think the Tumblers is a better vehicle, but the Furura was made back when practicality was thrown to the wind for stile and coolness. I'm surprised you managed to pull off such a detailed model on the scale, even compared to cars twice its size, this is up to par. Nice Job! |

The Lincoln works well as a Batmobile. Batman has been going since 1939, so there is nothing wrong with an older version of the caped crusader's vehicle. |

Cool shaping, especially for the rather small scale! Some great details, too. Those exhausts would be awesome in chrome silver! Great job! *KAPOW* :-)) |

I believe the TV Batmobile was a '57 Lincoln. I saw it (or it's double, there were 2 I believe) when I was a teenager. It was parked outside the shop that designed it located near the Hollywood Bowl! Anyhoo, looks just like it! :) |

In the old TV show, they would frequently tilt the camera at crazy angles to make the events seem even more chaotic. For example, if Batman and Robin were tied up on a floor in the Penguins store room, the camera would be tilted at about 45 degrees, giving the whole scene a sort of "about to slide off the table" feeling. I don't actually recommend the technique...it's just a bit of nostalgia about the original TV show. Quick Robin! To the Bat Cave! |
