Combat Automaton Hunter-Killer 33, designation, 'Hal', is a fully self-aware AI designed as an experimental command and control unit for the Ifrithian YAT combat drone line, used in place of an organic operator on missions considered too dangerous for commando units. The body design bares little resemblance to the bulky drones, and is instead based on Ifrithian combat armor. The primary arms, used to wield weapons and during cqc engagements, lack the fine motor skills to interact with computers or repair damaged units. the secondary set of arms, however, allow It to accomplish such tasks with ease. When not in use, these limbs fold up against its back. The unit itself wields a MAW-SMGv, which has a frightening rate of fire, sounding more like a mini-gun than a machine gun, as well as an electrified combat blade.
The AI itself was given a male personality and programmed to speak in the first person. It has examples of all tactics used by and against the Ifrithian military programmed into it for maximum effectiveness against all enemies. Certain countermeasures have been programmed in to keep the unit from going rouge. Over a short period of time, it developed 'emotes' to use with organics, such as a head tilt in mock 'confusion' or a light hum when processing a situation or new information.
This is my first robot in a while, and I'm quite happy with it.
The hands are just EPIC - I love the smooth disc on the reverse of that bracket for finger articulation. Small, compact, beautiful. May have to use that design: but if I do, I'll Cred you, Gideon. The MOC has a strong and heavy feel, I wasn't crazy about the size of the feet in comparison to the MOC's proportions, but they've grown on me. CHEERS! 5/5!
Frightningly beautiful! The secondary set of arms was a nice touch. I do have one suggestion though. Directly above the elbows on the upper arms looks a little bare, you could probably fit a tire there and it would fill up the hole. Merely a suggestion though.
