Dawn Forge Heavy Trooper (plus my weapons collection)
"The heavies are here!" - Anonymous Dawn Forge Soldier during the Siege of C-102
About this creation

The Dawn Forge Heavy Troopers bridge the gap between foot soldier and hardsuit, and are themselves effective against most armor. They are typically deployed as sentries or as straight-up fighters. Their armor is heavy enough to shrug off 20mm rounds, making the heavies an excellent leader for an attack.

The heavies carry a .30 cal. four-barreled minigun, which is devastating against infantry and can also punch through light armor. The armored suit contains hydraulics to assist in carrying this 90 lb. beast.

The back.

Unmasked. The armored suit has the same armor used by heavy mechs, only thinner. This is why the heavy can take tremendous punishment and still live. It also has a kevlar undersuit to help absorb damage.

Now we get to the weapons. Demonstrating the weapons is a man who can kill with anything imagineable, be it a cannon, pistol, street sign, or even his bare hands. He is rumored to have a third fist under his beard... Chuck Norris! (In Dawn Forge battle dress)

First up: the AR-3 assault rifle. Unlike most equivalents, it is chambered to .30 cal, meaning is has a slower firing rate, but a much bigger punch. It comes with 25 round clips.

Next up: The CS-7 combat shotgun. This s an older weapon, and lacks some of the "high-techness" that characterizes most DF weapons. It has an adjustable stock and is available in semi-auto 12 gauge or pump-action 8 gauge. Unlike most others, the CS-7 doesn't have a detachable box magazine, a common complaint. However, the pump-action 8 gauge is universally known as the king of close-quarters combat. The 12 gauge holds ten rounds while the 8 gauge holds six.

Next up: The GML-12 guided munitions launcher. This shoots a 50mm missile that, unlike all contemporaries, is guided. This makes the GML-12 less powerful, but far more deadly. It also has an extremely fast lock-on time. It is a very effective anti-armor and anti-fortification weapon.

Next up: The BR-23 sniper. Chambered in .338 Lapua, this offeres a blend of power and a light-weight rifle. Although not as long-range as some of the anti-material rifles, kill shots of two miles are not unheard of. It is semi-auto, and may also be used closer up as a battle rifle, hence the "BR-23" designation. It comes with a ten round integrated clip.

Next up: The PW-19 and P-2 pistols. The PW-19 is a 9mm scoped pistol and a good secondary. It holds 12 rounds. The P-2 is an older model weapon, like the CS-7 shotgun, and is a .45 cal. pistol holding eight rounds.

Next up: The F-2 flamethrower. This beast, nicknamed the "dragon", has a 150 yard range and a two-minute firing time - pretty good for a flamethrower. The use of this weapon is denied by the DF, but true. Its use is rare to maintain "plausible deniability".

Heavy weapons! The M-6 is a light 60mm mortar used to support infantry attacks, take out armor and bunkers, and counter-sniping. It is light enough to be carried and operated by one man, allowing a single person to station himself/herself at a strategic location and make explosives rain.

Last up: The AC-3 20mm autocannon. This is the common coaxial weapon on mechs and tanks, as well as APC, trucks, etc. It is also tripod-mounted as a heavy MG, a role in which is is fearfully effective, due to its 20mm round. It uses 300 round belts.

Disclaimer: The autocannon is NOT man-portable! Do not even try, it won't go well!

Fourth Wall Commentary: Chuck Norris' head was made almost by accident. Yes, the gun at the end is the one on the ICT-520.

Until next time!

Quoting claw paradox ...the guy carrying the autocannon is a bit ridiculous looking, though.
Yeah, I know. It was for demonstration purposes only.
