1971 Scuderia Ferrari 512M - Gelo Racing team
About this creation
The car to fit with my transporter, and also my third car for the Classic Race team group.

I think the wheelbase is a tad short, but for the rest I'm very proud of the result!

Doors open, but not as the real car, because that was beyond my skills.

Seats were copied from Malte Dorowski. =)

Some photos of the transporter and the car together.

Quoting Charlie A How long did it take to build both the Ferrari race car and the transporter?
I don't know exactly anymore, but I think I spend around 7 months working in total on these 2. The truck took up the most of this time though.

Quoting General Electric This must truly be your masterpiece? Do you consider it your best work? It is so low to the ground and fast looking...mission accomplished! I wish I had your ability with cars.
Thanks! But no, I don't consider it my best work, for that's gotta be the C Type transporter (or one of my current WIPs, but that's still far from finished).

Quoting My Name is Anonymous I feel like you could do something with the tops of those tubes that make the seat. Maybe add a headrest or something?
I'm not exactly sure if I know how to. Besides, the car is already token apart, but I'll take the advice for the next time!

Awesome Building! Very neat car, it remembered me that movie "Le Mans 1971". I really loved the car details and the truck too. I wish I had so many pieces to build a kit from this size. But I have built a 70's Le Mans Ferrari too, the "Ferrari Le Mans 1970". Can you post a comment and a rating on it? I think that you'll like xD

Quoting Lego Builders Great! I can see that you're improving - and not only in photography! Your skill has been improving a great deal lately! If I were you, I'd replace you current background with what Mortal suggested. The "crumples" make shadows - it would look better if it were flat. But it is still much better than before! Keep up the great work! 5/5 -LB Jr.
Thanks!

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Hi Thomas. ..... I only mention this because it sounds like you want to improve your presentation - not that I think you need to.
Thanks! I agree with you that a white sheet looks better. I did try to make photos with a white paper. It looked very cool, but because it reflected all the light the car looked very blurry.... I am trying to get a black piece of paper, but I just wanted to get this car on the internet, because it was already finished for a week or so. I also agree that outdoor photos look good. The only thing is that it's a bit strange to have such background. On some previous MOC's I photoshopped the MOC on a white background, but I think it looks a bit strange that the car just floats in the air. Thanks for the advice! :-)

Quoting Commander Knox This car is really cool! I like the colors you picked for it.
Thank you! I didn't pick the colors myself.... I builded the one from the real Gelo racing car, but I didn't do the stickers with numbers and stuff. :-)

Hi Thomas. Great work on this, I am so sorry I missed it. Lovely shape, and I really like the seat and engine/exhausts. Nice work on the doors too. Personally I really like your outdoor photos. They are always clear and well taken. However, a white background does show-off mocs better. I use an A1 sheet of white or black card (bought from an art shop) curled up the wall no creases or shadows. If you want to go to the next level - use a thin sheet of glass (over the card) to get the reflection effect. I only mention this because it sounds like you want to improve your presentation - not that I think you need to.
