3 days after the events of Chapter 8. As Master Boris continues his investigation of the attempted murder of Senator Ralone, Master Ban-Kazi takes Alinta and Karol to the ruins of the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine promising to give them and explanation...

About this creation

Ban-Ah, Dantooine. It seems like a lifetime since I was lat here and it almost has. I haven't been here since my childhood.

Karlo-What is this place Master? Why did you bring us here? So far I'v only seen a few scattered farms, nothing special.

Alinta-Padawan you still have so much to learn, Dantooine is a place close to the force. Reach out, this is a powerful place.

Karlo-I feel it but...there is sorrow here as well.

Ban-Both are because of this: The remains of the Jedi Enclave, destroyed by Darth Malak many years before no. Dantooine is a place of great power, but also a great sorrow.

(Suddenly there are footsteps)

Ban-Shhhh, what is that?

(Gulio Marcus walks out from the ruins)

Gulio-Now is that any way to greet a friend?

Ban-Gulio! What are you doing here?

Gulio-The Council sent me Ban, they know what you're about to do, I just want to know are you sure you want to?

Ban-More so than ever, It's time I told my story.

(They enter the ruins, the brook quietly babbling near them, Ban lets out a long sigh and speaks)

Ban-I am now going to tell you my whole story-something I have only done once before-so that you may have no distrust in me, by the end you will understand.

Ban-Like most Jedi I was taken from my family at an early age and apprenticed to Master Pehro a master swords man and champion duelist.

Ban-During my day the Resurgent Mandalorian Alliance was lying waste to the Outer Rim and we were dispatched to find their leader: the new Mandalore Akrowl.

Ban-We led a successful campaign and tracked him to the world of Fresia, Master Pehro had scouted ahead and encountered an enemy patrol.

Ban-It was a trap. The Mandalore snuck up behind my master and stabbed him.

Ban-I shouted and rushed to my master's body I was too late. The Mandalore taunted me saying,"Don't cry over your master apprentice, you'll join him soon enough." A man appeared behind them I can only remember an earsplitting sound as the Mandalorians gripped their heads.

Ban-When I looked up the Mandalorians were dead, the man had just killed the Mandalore.

Ban-The man, whose name I would later know as Lord Tiberius Kasamir, approached me.

Kasamir-What are you doing boy?

Young Ban-They killed him, they took my master away.

Kasamir-Come, I will teach you true power, as your master falls, I rise to take his place.

Ban-I obeyed and now called him Master

Ban-He brought me to Korriban, to the Tomb of Darth Vulnero. We were the Cult of the Jalka'Ri. We trained in the ancient methods we found on the tomb walls, but I excelled above all the others.

Ban-I studied at the feet of Kasamir, growing in my power, never once thinking about the Jedi or what I was becoming.

Ban-There was only one other above me: Janax Narr, Now the personal Assassin for Count Dooku, at that time she was at Kasamir's right hand and she loathed me.

Ban-But we could not be unlooked forever. Our raids into neighboring systems brought the Jedi Order to intervene. Shaak Ti, Master Boris, and a then Jedi Count Dooku spearheaded the assault.

Ban-Duke Bartolo, Master Yoda, and Master Juon-Sai decimated our forces, not one survived and not one surrendered.

Ban-At last Kasamir came to me.

Kasamir-Apprentice, this is to be your final test. I have at last found a way to resurrect Darth Vulnero's minions: the Jalka'Ri. Soon an army of Immortal 1,000 year old Sith Assassins will be at our disposal and the Jedi will be at our mercy.

Young Ban-What is thy bidding my master?

Kasamir-Only hold them back long enough for the ritual to be complete. Once it is done, the Jedi will be finished.

Ban-He stalked away.

Janax-Good luck boy, you'll need it. Ha!Ha!Ha!

Ban-I waited, listening to the battle happening overhead, at last Juon entered.

Juon-Ah, what is this? A lone sith scum? Ah, but...Jedi lightsabers? Perhaps you will be more sporting than those saber fodder throw at me!

Ban-I attacked first slamming my blades against Juon's

Juon-Come, boy didn't your master teach you anything!

Ban-I attacked him again going for his head.

Ban-He sidestepped me however.

Juon-Oh, you'll have to do better than that! Don't you know how to use the force!

Ban-I attacked again, He again ducked my blades.

Juon-Alright, this is quite enough, Now it's my turn!

Ban-He blasted me into the wall.

Juon-Feel the true power of the force!

Ban-Juon held me entirely in his power. He gripped my throat and held me to a column.

Juon-Prehaps now you will regret leaving the Jedi for this sith trash! But, it is a regret you will not have to live with!

Yoda-Master Juon!

Ban-Master Yoda walked in at just that moment and saved me from Juon's wrath.

Juon-What is it Master Yoda! This boy is Sith just like the rest!

Yoda-No, not sith is he. In need of a new master think he is I do.

Young Ban-What do you mean?

Ban-They took me outside. What I saw was the bodies of the cultists and the burning wreckage of a ship and sitting on top of it was Kasamir's helmet.

Ban-It was that very day I returned to the Light. Kasamir's deception all along had been to use me.

Karl-But what does that have to do with the Jalka'Ri?

Ban-The Jalka'Ri were Darth Vulnero's twisted servants, solely devoted to their master and to the killing of the Jedi. He had them made so that only one with his knowledge of the Dark Side could defeat them-It is that knowdledge-that dark taint that I alone can defeat them, only a True servant of the Light could defeat them otherwise.

(Suddenly a cough interrupts them, they all turn around and gasp)

(Standing behind them were Janax Narr, Hazar Lamus, two Jalka'Ri, and Tiberius Kasamir)

Ban-What...Im-Impossible you're....

Kasamir-Dead Ban? No not even close.
