Build for the Lenflad Local Challenge; Fortify the Forests.
Sorry about some of the grainy/blurry pics. I had to take these in really bad lighting =P
About this creation
Hear ye, hear ye, proud builders of Lenfald!
Our great High Lord Wenseclaus II has decided, in all his wisdom, that to protect the people and interests of Lenfald, new fortifications must be build along our borders and in our untamed heartlands! He calls upon all masons, workers and master builders to build mighty towers and outposts for our great army to guard... So grab your tools and gather stones and wood! We shall build to protect this land from the outlaws, and the strangers that threaten our borders! For great Lenfald!
At the Southern end of the Lenflad/Garheim border there is a small off-run of the mighty Moroccan River; Dead Man’s gully. Because it is deceptively wider, deeper and deceptively faster than it seems many a soldier or man-at-arms has fallen in and never returned.
That makes Dead Man’s gully the perfect strategic position for defence because it is flanked on 3 sides but the gully and has a wide view of the surrounding areas. In the case of an attack, the defenders could simply sit behind the walls and shoot arrows at the attackers as they try to make some form of bridge across the deadly, fast flowing rapids. If the enemy did make it across there is little room on the other side of the gully which limits the amount of men the enemy can commit to an attack which therefore limits the chance of victory.
This is why Sir Eli has summoned the local villages, carpenters, cobblers, lumberjacks, stoneworkers to build and defend a fully manned border crossing. The small fort will be used to hold off enemy raids in the area. Sir Eli also plans to use his newly erected fort as a foothold to move deeper into Garheim territory and mount a successful raid on an undefended town that is about 13 miles North East of the Lenfald/Garheim border.
Now that the small fort is almost complete he can finally start to plan his raid……… and shave XD

Is that KP?

Good work with the fortifications. Round towers always have a special look. Landscape and people are great, too. |

Good general hustle in the crowd. There are many jobs and tasks that catch my eye. I have heard that the sun shines brightest on Lenfald, but now I believe it. |

I like the wall idea, but that is besides the clean build the only true positive side. The creation is good, do not forget that, but it has many small flaws. One of them is the undetailed grass. You should make it a bit wavy, with plates here and there with some rocks sticking out. Flatlands does not mean "unnatural lands". And then there is the sheep. This is one of your better creations, but you don't seem to care about all of the aspects. If you are making it good, why not make it perfect. If you are not ready, copy some details from other builders. And the last part is a little advice: take a bit of risk and keep unique details, techniques and ideas for a huge build on which you could make the whole castle which will be amazing and shocking. This way the idea will already be old and you will have a good creation (which is this) and a cool creation (instead of a fine MOC and an amazing MOC). |

Awesome work! I just saw this of CC but its still looking great here!
Did you hear? We are now allies!
Yeah, it's great and all but it ruined my previous plans! This was originally based at the Lenflad/Loressi border but I had to, at the last minute, change it to the Garheim border =P |

Really nice build! You're planning an attack on a Garheim village, you say? That might be something as to stretch the friendly ties between factions, asking for outright war, are you? Great job!
The original plan was to raid a Loressi village but the allegiance ruined that plan! |

*McDonalds theme plays* I'm lovin' it! Great work on it all the only thing that I'd suggest would be to make the ground a bit more hilly and/or detailed (rock work, grass stalks, trees, Ect..). I really like how the castle/wall looks. Although you'll see a flaw about that wooden wall in an upcoming creation of mine.
I purposely made it flat because the area it's located is flat-lands. Also, there is quite a few grass stalks here and there ;)
