About this creation

Here are 3 of my entries for the Apocalypse Vehicle contest They are:

My Quad bike for the bike category.

Salvage barge for the boat category.

Blue Hawk for the airplane category.

There are four categories, and I have four entries, but I thought rather than upload a page for each vehicle I would do two entries. One for these, and another for my car/truck entry. (It deserves a page of it's own. I'll upload it later today.)

We'll start things off simple, with the quad bike. I think I built it in 5min. Really simple.

I added a headlight in the center. I was going for a Polaris sportsman look.

I picked a quad bike over a motorcycle, because of the stability, and the fact you can have someone sit on the back and blast zombies while the drive focuses on the terrain.

Quad bikes are good for outrunning zombies. ATV (All Terrain Vehicles) is another name, and it fits well.

On to the second entry. The salvage barge.

Just a note, the water was very cold. Finding out there was a boat category, I thought.. I have just the parts for this. I have that old race boat, and decided the pontoons would be a great fit.

The gun rack, full of loaded guns, waiting to be used. Also some katanas for zombie slicing.

The crows nest features two mounted turrets, and a sniper rifle. My siggy mans one of the turrets.

Going upstream can be hard, unless you find the mellow parts of the river.

Good thing we aren't in those rapids back there!

If it looks like the back is sinking in these next two pictures, it's not, it's just the powerful engines thrusting the front out of the water.. ;)

What salvage barge would be complete without a crane to pull things from the watery deep?

Now you can see the two powerful turbine engines. and under the red octane pieces is the engine compartment.

This is where all the supplies are kept. More guns, food, scuba gear, treasures, ect. Now you maybe wondering what the green stuff is around the crows nest, and why I would put trees on a boat. It's crops, and fruit trees. Think about it for a second, It's an apocalypse, but you still have to eat. Thus, if you grow crops on your boat, you don't have to land, and land is where most of the zombies are. It's brilliant I tell you!

Really what more do you need than this?

Aaannnd moving on.. The Blue Hawk.

The dull noise of a chopper echos over the barren charred landscape. This place used to be beautiful, until the accident. A catastrophic chemical fire left nothing but blackened landscape, and poisonous gases. The gases once breathed, filled peoples minds with the one sickening thought.. "EATING BRAINS!"...
