About this creation

So here we have Charles Xavier, one of the most powerful mutant telepaths on the planet. He’s probably sensing with his telepathy that another mutant somewhere is in trouble. Unfortunately, with 7 billion minds on the planet, locating a single individual can be a challenge.

Fortunately Professor X has Cerebro, a big metal helmet that hooks him into this enormous, telepathy-enhancing, super-computer located in a cavernous room hidden below the Professor’s School for Gifted Youngsters.

You’d think that a smart guy in a wheelchair would want more guardrails installed in a place like this. I guess they must interfere with his reception or something.

Once Cerebro is fired up, Professor X can reach out to virtually any mind on the planet.

Here’s one last photo that just shows what the underside of the Cerebro platform looked like.

I spent the afternoon with my son, sitting with him on the floor of his room, watching superhero movies and playing together with Legos. While he worked on a new Batcave, I tried to come up with a cool uses for the “electricity shooter” part from William’s Hero Factory Surge (6217) figure. What I ended up with was Professor Charles Xavier and his telepathy-enhancing, mutant-finding, super computer Cerebro. The build was okay… not the best MOC I’ve put together, but a fun way to kill an afternoon. It was when we used a little blue LED keychain flashlight to light up the MOC that I decided to post pictures. The photos were all taken with an iPhone and the only lighting effect was the aforementioned LED keychain flashlight (which incidentally is shaped like a little yellow duck and makes a “quack-quack-quack” noise when you use it). There was no Photoshop involved whatsoever... just a neat little lighting effect.
