My (last-minute) entry to Chronos Omega's and Ro Garcia's HF: Gear Up contest in the category Mountain.
About this creation
Zib: Alex Altitude was your average hero, and a good friend of Furno. As Furno went up in the ranks, Alex stayed as a lower class rookie. One day, he decided to change all that. He asked for an upgrade where he can specialise in a hobby of his, mountaneering. So it happened. He is now one of our greatest allies, and is a crucial member of the mountain theme. He is equipped with a mountaneering utility tool on his right hand, a climbing hook on his left, a transmitter and reciever that functions over a large radius, and a hero core filled with otep-quaza, a superfluid form of quaza that occurs at a very low temperature. For this to happen, his core has to accomodate the technology used to cool quaza, causing him to have a larger core. He also has clibimg boots with rubber tips, for higher grip.

Alex: This is my utility tool. The hook can be used for climbing and can be fired as a grappling hook...
Alex: AND can be used as a laser gun! (Don't stare at it)
Alex: Oh yeah, see this blade? (The shiny thing)
Alex: It can be attached onto my left arm as a combat blade
Alex: Now, I've asked Zib to prepare a little demonstration to show off my tools
Alex: Call in the beast!
Alex: This abomination was found in the forests outside of makuhero city.
Rekulace: Wha? Where's Argin?
Rekulace: Take me back!
Alex: It has a temper.
Rekulace: 'It' has a name!
Rekulace: Wait! Shhhh.....
Rekulace: Heehee! Freedom!
Rekulace: Now, where in spherus magna am I?
*Hook grabs on to leg*
Rekulace: Wha?
Rekulace: Whoa!
*Smack*
Alex: And that, my friend, is how you catch a weird thingy.
Rekulace: Let me go!
Alex: My hero senses are tingling!
Alex: Up, up, and away! To infinity and beyond!
Rekulace: What?
Rekulace: Anyone help me?
Zerk: Oh! Meat?
Rekulace: Wait! No!
Zerk: Lalalalala
Rekulace: Ah! Help me! I'm not very tender!
Zerk: I have a hammer
Rekulace: Alright! Alright! I'm tender! But I don't taste good.
Zerk: I have salt
Rekulace: I give up
Valentor: Uh... yeah. You might not want to see what happens next
Valentor: Anyhoo, Haku is in the hospital and Argin is getting upgraded-I mean is in prison...ish. So, I have to fill in the ever so important and universe balancing role.
Saying bye. Bye!
Valentor: Now, how do I get home?

P.S. That light glowing from his helmet on the first photo... I wondered what inspired that? Free cake for someone that can name the source of inspiration.

If you read the bio, he does have a core. It is enlarged due to using a superfluidical form of quaza. (google superfluid, it's a real thing) |
