A Star Wars MOC with a ship, characters, and story...Enjoy!
About this creation
Hey all, before we start, let me tell you that this was a great build for me. It is the biggest, most pieces, designed from the ground up with original characters, names, minifigs, and the ship. There is one part of the ship i borrowed from another set, can you guess which one? lol

I took parts from different figs to make this group, nothing altered or non lego parts.

Story: We all know the story how force sensitive children were found and took into the care and training of the Jedi. Although they found most, some children slipped through the grip of the scouts and grew up in a normal life never knowing the power they hold. Others, like Rayce Fuundali, who made it to the age of 12 before his power, the strange feelings and visions, manifested itself.

Rayce hasn't always followed the rules or had much respect for authority. After he was found breaking into a local shop, the three police droids sent to arrest him ended up as three smoking piles of metal and circuits. For the past few months before this he could close his eyes and see in his mind the inner workings of droids, where joints attach and wires are welded to circuit boards. Never understanding what it meant until he was cornered by the police when he was able to not only see these things but manipulate them, that's how he was able to turn the two furthest from him towards eachother and fire their blasters at themselves. When the third turned to see what happened Rayce had the last of his attackers blast itself through the head.

After that he became a thief and a pretty good one too, if the job involved anything mechanized. At the age of 20, Rayce was hired by a mysterious customer who wanted him to steal a prototype hyperdrive from the Empire, the man left out the part about who owned these plans. The job was easy enough, break into this building, steal the plans and deliver to his contact. Of course the Empire traced this deal to Rayce's contact before the plans were delivered. After torturing the contact they obtained the name "Rayce Fuundali". The Empire is very systematic and before Rayce was able to return home after not being able to reach his contact, a group of Imperial Stormtroopers murdered his family and trashed the home in search of the plans, very similar to star wars, i know, but, this is how they conduct business, swift, efficent, and always brutal.

Empty, broken, destroyed inside, Rayce spends the next several years doing any and everything he can to pi$$ off the Empire. Now a smuggler and Mercenary against the Empire, Rayce needed a ship so he stole an old seperatist cargo ship and then spent the last two years making this ship his new home and weapon against all Imp dogs. Needing help breaking the Empire's spirit, Rayce built four droids, two astromech, one tactical/protocol, and one two-headed combat/training droid. While the astromechs J5-VX0 and K3-LS0 maintain the recognizable shape, the protocol and training droid have very unique shapes due to Rayce's cobbling them together over the past years. Fo'sho is his protocol droid named after his father who taught Rayce everything he knows about droids and mechanics.
Even though Fo'sho is programmed to help with any tactical or etiquette situations, his main objective is to keep Rayce company.
The large two-headed training droid he built is programmed in many styles of combat including those used by the most elite battle droids. Used for training and to keep Rayce sharp, Rob & Bob are a deadly duo in battle. These droids are his family now, the only consistant things for Rayce in space when he goes from planet to planet looking for any job that will effect the Empire.

The last member of this team joined when Rayce was on routine job to steal a data stick from one of the Empire's wherehouse commanders, a job he'd done many times before, but this time was different. This target was already under attack when Rayce and K3 arrived. Buildings were on fire, dead pirates and small contingent of stormtroopers and other Imperial officers lay strewn about. It appeared a bomb went off here, all were dead, except one. Lucran Starhammer or just "Hammer" as he's known survived but busted up bad. K3 carried him back to the ship but as he was going over the battlefield towards the ship, he reached down and grabbed one of the battered stormtrooper helmets as a reminder of all he lost that day. Hammer is the ship's weapons/communication expert, grumpy and tough but fiercly loyal, now alone, all his "family" had been wiped out so he had no problem joining Rayce on his quest for revenge against the Empire.

How they get from place to place is Rayce's ship the Dancing Droid, named for Rayce's distraction technique of using his ability to make any droid or smaller mechanical device "dance". It was designed around one man, and droids, but it was big enough to accomidate Hammer too without losing any of its comfort.

"Do you hate the Galactic Empire? Do you have need for smuggling or a mercenary, and have credit sticks taller than a Kamonian Space Hoop player, and if you can find them......" HaHa bet you thought i was going there

Now that your filled in, lets look at the main star of this MOC, the ship. What was once a cargo transport, now a fully customized, heavily armed multi-role star craft. Built around that prototype hyperdrive and protected by a double deflector shield. Take a look at some pics and enjoy!

Weapons: 4 rapid firing lasers
2 medium turbo laser
4 ship to ship torpedos

Awesome ship. Love all the greebling. All the interior detail is very well done. I always love to see what those with that meticulous eyes for detail are able to get done with LEGO. Very well done. Colors are perfect, and the light bricks are very appropriately used.

A really nice ship! You have done a lot of work on this it seems :-) I too think the main control room is well made, there are a lot of consoles and screens to control all of the ship's various features. It might be a bit well greebled on the outside but it has a very unique shape and lots of cool details. Really nice story and custom mini-figs too!

Lets see, where to start. First off, love your characters, they are mean and cool looking. Well done. Secondly, love the ship, especially the interior. You paid incredible attention to the computer work which makes my heart happy. Well done. Thirdly, I like the outer part of your ship, was has some sweet little cargo areas, great SNOT work, and nice little machinary details. Overall, this is really a spectacular creation and I really enjoyed taking a look at it. Nice picture job too, really covered the whole shabang.

Quoting David Alexander Smith Overall great ship. The crew are well designed, love the hyperdrive. Only minor niggle, not sure the greebles feel 100% convincing - but it is a minor niggle.
Your right. I do like the center trench, but the rest is, now that I look at it, to busy and no sense of pattern. Which is needed. I just need more greeby practice. Thanks for you thoughts. :-)

Wonderful ship and story. I am not usually into the story aspec but it was well told. All the characters are very rich and unique. My favorite part is that is original! I would much rather see something original like this the a 10,000 piece copy of a ship. The ship has great playability and too many well thought out details to go into. Photos are nice as well. Overall a really superb MOC. Great use of colors, greebling, and interior detailing. You should be very proud of this MOC fo'sho!
