To be a Pirate, ye must master "The Three Trials"! Swordplay, Thievery, and er... Treasure Hunt-er-y!
About this creation
Fourth Roof Commentary
What be this madness? I'm actually alive? Well, sort of. After another period of continuously allowing my creativity to die again from spending too many hours in front of my computer, I think by now I'll move my time on the machine for the afternoon, and maybe let my creativity express itself in the morning.
For those of you who don't know what I'm referencing, this is a little scene in a place called the "Scumm Bar" from an old game dubbed "The Secret of Monkey Island", a silly point-and-click adventure game of a guy who wants to be a Pirate. To compare, here's a picture of the game's remake, which I used for reference when building this creation:
There are obvious errors and mistakes made in this MOC compared to the actual scene, such as how in my MOC, the table where the three pirates sit is closer to the kitchen door, the chandelier is missing (which was not something I visualized when building this away from my laptop), and the curtain is missing (due to lack of curving red bricks). However, the beams that support the roof, and space in the background with the tables and chair, the fireplace (along with a shovel), and the attempt of making a skull face above the kitchen door are by far my favorite parts. As for the sign on the flat end of the roof that has a glowing "S" on it, that is not actually part of the building in the game, rather something I added to take up space and look for "Monkey Island-ish" (which seems to be technologically advanced).
I played both versions of this game, the old and the updated one, and I have to say: It's much better and a way more funny than lots of those new and expensive games today! Excellent work!
