Welcome to the land of Cyldacia, a land torn asunder by war and treachery. For one thousand years, Cyldacia was ruled by the benevolent Imperium until the elves, steeped in mystery and power, who where in fact the original citizens of the land rose up in open rebellion, claiming the land as their own. Now, Elf and Imperium wage a war the likes of which has never been seen before. Despite all this, there are other disturbances, the Black Brotherhood wreak havoc on both side, hired to do the dirty work of others, the foul Draganthis, or Dragon Spawn, winged men, march forth from their southern dwellings, eager to take revenge on the Imperium's leader, Emperor Arkanatos. Seeing the possibility to pick over the battlefields, the Draconians and Cavern Scurriers have emerged from their deserts and tunnels to gain some wealth for themselves. The Dwarves seek out both Elf and Imperium, selling weapons to either side while the Norsk, a hardy people, act as mercenaries for which ever side pays highest. But in the shadows something stirs, the Paladins have scented evil and they search for it, in hopes to eradicate it where found in the name of all that is holy, but still the shadows stir, something is coming, something cruel and twisted, an unstoppable force that may bring the warring peoples of Cyldacia together in order to avert their destruction...
