Jake Nitro, Hero Factory: Gear Up
My entry to the Hero Factory: Gear Up contest being hosted by Ro Garcia and Chronos Omega. I'm pretty sure this is the first entry so far that's light blue, too! He's obviously under the speed category, but I'll tell you more about him: Jake Nitro is a fast, quick-thinking rookie with a craving for adventure. He's fit, and he wouldn't stop at anything to get that awesome 'Speed' upgrade, just released by Hero Factory. Now he's the best at using it. His colours are standard for general street patrolling, catching wanna-be super-villains and small-time crooks. He's great friends with Furno, and he will often help the Alpha team when he is needed. Enjoy!
About this creation

Jake Nitro, looking into the distance, all awesome and such. Let's start at the bottom:

His legs have a series of joints that allow for maximum speed and strength while chasing criminals.

This is how they bend.

His waist. Those abs allow for lots...

...and lots...

...and lots of articulation.

His back. I hate to say it, but it's really simple :( .

His upper arms. Simple again, but this time really effective.

Lower arms. This guy requires a lot of ball joints...

His head and upper body. Kinda looks like a helmet right?

He has the ability to open his helmet. Gimmick!

His gun.

Awesome shooting pose.

Oh yeah! I got Toxic Reapa today, mostly for the parts. Awesome set!

BANG!

Poor Toxic Reapa :( .

Anyways, bye everyone! I hope you like my entry, I put a LOT of effort in trying to get all the parts necessary. Lego = Money. See-ya next time!

*Note: Come back later, and I'll upload a concept drawing of this MOC I did. I just forgot to take a pic :/ .

Thanks, Ro. I really wasn't expecting so many points, especially for complexity!

Nice legs, though I can tell they don't bend too well.

Quoting Joshua Kramer Likin' the use of heads as shoulders! (wish i'd have thought of that) I was just wondering, do the hands have much articulation? I noticed that they were connected to an upper arm piece and I thought that might limit the motions for the wrist. Anyway, good luck with the contest! Great build.
The hands don't move as much as I wanted them to, but they are surprisingly more articulated than I though. You should try out the technique Yourself!

Quoting Ro Garcia Not bad, I would have never thought to use the heads like that before, but it's painfully obvious. I do think that you could have used one of the glatorian heads and but a little more effort, I think that would have looked great with your liftable mask idea, and he's surprisingly small. Points for getting him that cyan color...
Well, it was really hard getting all the colours, and I don't know how I would have used a glatorian head on this. He really isn't very small, and if I put more effort into making him bulky, he wouldn't fit the speed category very well. Thanks for the feedback, but all I was trying to do was fit the rules YOU made. If there were no rules or categories, this guy would be a whole lot better.

Thanks for the feedback guys. This MOC looks really awkward in these photos, but I swear he isn't like that IRL.
