I present to you the Indestructibly Armored Behemoth, the Indomitable Goliath... Zerk!

Name: Zerk
Gender: Male
Element: Iron
Race: Fe-Toa
Titles: Toa, protector, brother, Indomitable Goliath
Weapons: Broadsword
Alignment: Chaotic good
Weaknesses: Ambushes, lack of agility, spinach
Bio: Zerk was once a miner, like all of the Matoran of his village. He usually ended up on missions mining common, cheap substances instead of precious gems. Feeling adventurous, Zerk volunteered to be part of a team to try to mine a strange substance that had been found. He didn’t get the job, so he later spied on the other miners. As he observed them, the floor collapsed, and Zerk fell, landing in a deep pit. Time went by, perhaps a few days. Zerk steadily lost energy and lay dying, alone. As his eyes closed for the last time, he saw the walls of the cave begin to glow! Zerk lost consciousness, but when he awoke, he had been transformed into a powerful Toa. He now works to protect his homeland, using his power over iron to his advantage.
And onto the build! Standard front shot.
Back view.
Side. Zerk is entirely custom except for the upper legs, which are just HF upper leg bones with lots of armor on them.

Upper arm design.
Forearm and claw. :)
Back of the arm. It had elbow spikes at one point, but they messed with the posability.
Back of the legs. As you can see I had to add pistons to keep him upright.
Front of the lower legs.
Zerk's colossal foot. :D
Side of the torso, detail/greeble shot.
Head. As you can see I used the original Zerk's head design, slightly modifying it.
Upper body. I love how that Nuva armor is built into the torso. :D
Upper back. Some greebles here, too.
Zerk also has a massive broadsword.
Seriously, the thing is huge.
Despite the size, Zerk can heft it easily.
Sword by itself. A breakdown of it is available by popular request.
Although he is not technically a titan, Zerk is a little over a foot tall. Not too big by most people’s standards, but for a person who typically makes relatively small MOCs, Zerk is gigantic.

Pirai’s sword looks to be no more than a dagger for Zerk!

As you most likely know, Zerk is the self-MOC of Steve the Squid. This was built as a prize for co-winning the Chibi Hero Factory contest, along with Darren Y, but I already had intentions to build Zerk before that point.

Oh my gosh he's a freaking TANK!!!! The natural bulkiness has deffintely been pulled off nicely in this moc . And the colour scheme is great! (Wish I had that much silver pieces :P). If anything he really does remind me of megatron from transformers 2. An awesome build mate nice work!! :D |

In any case, this version of Zerk is undoubtably impressive. The armour flows well and looks very bulky. I really like the "bar" you put across the front of the chest. A bit odd, but it looks cool.

Amazing! I definitely like how he seems really armored and muscular. Also the sword is massive and detailed! I also noticed the Bionicle "shocks" on the back of his legs, they give it detail and support the models weight! Overall it has so much detail. Keep on building!!! |

Holy crap, that's so epic! I love how it's pretty much all big pieces for a big guy, which makes it that much cooler! And the broadsword design is stellar! As for themesongs, I never much liked the idea of assigning themesongs to a self-moc. Is it a song that fits the moc, or yourself? And for the mask, I'll let you come up with a name! |

Oh, and it's not criticism, but I was wondering if you had the mantax, and by result, the black feet. He looks awesome with grey, with the silver color scheme, but mantax is a great set! Wow, this is quite the brilliant design, amazingly well built! Only minor nitpick would be to spread out the dark grey a tad, the head just sorta stands out even with those Rahkshi feet on the shins. Yet overall, this is FANTASTIC! :D |

I just have to say, in my book a foot tall is massive. I rarely even try to build anything that big, and when I do, it ends in failure. Nice job on this, not a single gap. I in no way expect MOCs to be completely "gapless" but when it is it blows me away every time. 6/5 stars. (Because stars are that awesome.) |
