About this creation
My entry for the "Hero Factory: Gear Up" contest.
Name: Vanessa Velocity
Gender: Female
Weapons: Arm blades
Equipment: Kinetic energy re-direction boots
Colors: Dark green and white
Theme: Speed
Roles: Villain persute, H.A.L.O. drops, vehicle destruction, seek and destroy missions

Body. The blue hose pumps cooling chemicals through Vanessa's body to keep her internals from overheating when she's running. Her torso also has several large intake vents on the front for the same reason.

Her hero core is larger than normal because she requires more power to function. It's mounted on her back to protect it from debris Vanessa hits while running. It is also her primary weakness, and she can be easily disabled from behind. The extra power also makes Vannesa hyper and energetic, and she will often preform backflips and jumps when she's board.

Her arms have rear facing blades so she can protect her vulnerable back.

Her arms also serve as fins/wings wile she's running.

Legs. Possably the most important part of Vanessa, her legs are powerful and strong, allowing her to run at speeds of nearly 90 MPH.

The actuators in her legs reach temperatures of over 150 degrees, and must be well vented.

Stylish heels? Not exactly. High-tech kinetic energy redirection boots? Bingo. While Vanessa can run fast on her own, her boots nearly double her ground speed. They do so by redirecting force aplied to the toe of the boot and expelling it out the heel, propelling Vanessa foward and reducing wear and tear on her legs.

Her boots also soften impacts, allowing her to fall 50 feet with ease, and up to 80 feet without serious injury. This allows her to make H.A.L.O.(High-Altitude-Low-Opening) jumps from Hero Craft above areas to dangerous to land in.

Her boots also serve as a weapon system, a single kick can disorient or knock out a villain.

Size comparison.
Fourth wall: I had a lot of fun building Vanessa and writing the story for her, she's definatly one of my favorite MOCs. Good luck to everyone in the contest!

That's a lot of colors, but the build is still decent. |

I was beginning to wonder if it was all gonna be nothing but males. Congrats on making the first female hero to our contest, and hopefully won't be the last! As far as the build and concept go, not bad, having the high impact heels is different, but makes sense. |
