Battlestar Triton, First Poseidon Group, Canceron Orbit:
About this creation
LT Kevin Moodster, call sign Strummer.
MAJ Leda Ouriana, call sign Cougar.
Still reeling from being told Galactica was destroyed, Strummer is faced with assimilating to an entirely alien way of life in the Twelve Colonies.
Cougar: "Okay, Strummer, we're on our way to meet with Captain Dendauw. You may remember her from the Christmas party."
Strummer: "I think she was hanging out with Bones and the guys by the kegs. Quite a night that was."
Cougar: "So you'll need to be prepared to accept her conditions as far as joining the crew. The Loyalty to Poseidon, it's a very serious oath, not to be taken lightly..."
Strummer: "Oath?"
Cougar: "It's a part of our daily lives; on the Homeworlds, even here on a battlestar."
Strummer: "Oh, I see..."
Strummer: "But I don't know anything about your religion?"
Cougar: "In time, you'll come to understand our ways."
Guard: "Major!"
Cougar: "Sergeant."
Sergeant: "They're waiting for you, Sir."
Capt Dendauw: "In spite of these unfortunate circumstances, welcome aboard the Triton. LT Fassio will be joining us for these proceedings."
Strummer: "Thank you, Captain. I still can't believe what happened to the Galactica..."
Cougar: "It was lucky we picked up his distress signal, Sir. He wouldn't have lasted long down there."
Dendauw: "A tragic loss. But it was indeed fortunate timing. Please be seated."
Dendauw: "We are here to review your future, with us, in the Fleet. Our procedures and customs may be very different from yours, but you will be fully educated in these matters. Are you aware of the Oath?"
Strummer: "Uh, well, Cougar was telling me on the way here, Sir, but..."
Dendauw: "Then you will need an instructor."
Cougar: "Captain, I will fulfill that role."
Dendauw: "Very well, she will provide you with the necessary instruction."
LT Fassio: "And until you have completed the various requirements, you will not yet be approved for our flight training program."
Strummer: "Understood."
Dendauw: "Very good. Cougar will see to your quarters assignment. That will be all. Dismissed."
Cougar: "That went well. I know it's all very difficult for you, and you miss your own kind. But you're with us now."
Cougar: "It'll be okay, we'll take care of you..."
Dendauw: "So Fassio, what do you think of this kid? Think he'll buy into the situation we've come up with?"
Fassio: "Well, Sir, I think he has so far. And I have full confidence in Cougar's ability to, let's say, 'convince' him."
Dendauw: "Hmpf!"
Cougar: "Alright, Strummer, as is customary on our ships, officers have more luxurious quarters than the enlisted. But we are required to take roommates for more efficient use of space. So we might be a little cramped here for a while."
Cougar: "This is Hitomi, one of the medical staff. She's actually the Triton's Head Nurse."
Hitomi: "Welcome."
Strummer: "Uh, Hi! Nice to meet you. This is quite a place you've got here, more posh than anything I saw on the Galactica, that's for sure..."
Cougar: "She's just getting things ready in the next room."
Cougar: "I've got to get this snow suit off! I'll meet you in there in a minute..."
Hitomi: "I hope you like it hot."
Hitomi: "We have drinks as well. I brought a variety, as I do not know your tastes."
Strummer: "I could really get used to this!"
Strummer: "I was wondering what happened to you..."
Cougar: "Damned zippers in that suit, had to use pliers."
Cougar: "I see YOU've made yourself comfortable!"
Strummer: "Captain's orders. Assimilate, right?"
Cougar: "You have no idea what you‘re getting into."

Thanks, Jay! This episode is all about the hot tub, but it does continue the plot line. And I have the basics for the rest of the Triton, too, hallway, rooms, etc. Almost all of it is upside down brick, actually. I just hope the Athenians don't bang their heads if they attack and board the ship... |

The door detailing is great and you did a good job with the storyline. Interesting venture you had going at the end with the hottub. I limited this episode to just this one group of characters, unlike a lot of the recent ones. It tool a lot of configuring to get that last shot, too, not easy! Thanks for the great comment! |
