FF-229 Corsair
An older, but aesthetically pleasing ship-borne fighter.
About this creation
The Corsair is an older, but venerable fighter in the USM fleet. It features a single propulsion engine with the two auxillary engines used for thrust vectoring and aiding the manueverability of the fighter. The four cannons that the COrsair is armed with deal out considerable damage. The Corsair is slowly being replaced by the likes of the Avenger as it features higher levels of visibility and manueverability.

I had a look at one of your space MOCs and had to check out your page. You have a great concept of sleeeeek designs which I can relate to. I posted that I hoped you were still creating and yes you are. Check out my "herald 1 attack cruiser - update 3. The scale is big, but I'm sure you will appreciate the sleeeeek, big and looking for some serious speed with beast written all over it. Not what you would want in your rearview mirror. Cheers mate, Adam TG

I thought those side pods were nacelles at first, but I like the back engine better anyway. Nice ship you got here.

Quoting Tim C Another cool build, Zach. I like the canopy on this, (what set did that come out of?). No little secrets like the last one, but the design is very sound. Because of your color choices, and the sleek design, I think of this one as some kind of luxury starfighter, if I may. The cannons are very creative, and they appear quite deadly. Nice work, as usual.
Thanks for the comments! The canopy if from the first official Batmobile set from Lego. I believe the canopy was also availiable on the Batboat of that same year.

I like the little detail of the white strip in the snot built wings, and also the transition from the wings to the wing-mounted thrusts. Good work.
