This Rescue truck is alternate #20 of Creator set 5867 Super Speedster.
About this creation
The colours that come in the set are excellent for making some kind of fire and rescue truck. However the problem is that there is a lot of surface to cover, which made me very doubtful if I could pull it off with the limited elements available. I went for some bucket truck, also called a cherry picker which I thought should give me the best chances. Besides it would add some interesting functionality. Still it was a big challenge to use every part efficient. Almost none were left in the end.
The bucket itself is nicely integrated in the back of the truck.
Some kind of universal front that could fit almost anywhere.
The truck has a long wheelbase to accommodate the boom.
Boom in lowest position, so people can get in or out the bucket.
Time to go up...
And still rising...
Bucket in the highest position. You're not afraid of heights I hope.
There just weren't enough pieces left to fill up the bottom.
This is all that remains; mostly some small spare parts.
And a final "hero" shot.

This has to be one of my favourites. Looking at the car you would never believe that it is possible to build this. Excellent functionality too. I would have been very tempted to hide those last few pieces somewhere inside ;). |

Very Nice. When I first saw it, I thought it couldn't possibly be made without extra pieces. But, there it is :-) Well Done! |

The cherry picker, I love it!
This is definitely a totally different model compared to what you did previously.
Looks like lately you can't seem to leave your 5867 set alone ;-)
Congratulations, this model is divine. MZ |
