AEGAKS-116-MWh "Peregrine"
The Peregrine, Hikaru's customized Arkham prototype.
About this creation

After Kenichi began to customize the Arkham prototypes to suit the pilots' particular skills, he had a great deal of trouble with Hikaru's customization. Hikaru's unit was constantly needing maintanence on the jumpjet system.

Kenichi began to work on a new system that would be able to handle constant activation, and that evolved into the Peregrine's flight system. While this system is able to maintain constant flight, it has a massive draw on the powercell, cutting the powercell's life from 12 hours to 2 hours.

The Peregrine features the basic elements of the AEGAKS, the ejectable pilot block and powercell. The pilot block is also equiped with a parachute, to allow it to land safely from high altitudes, as well as a more powerful emergency beacon.

The Peregrine's armor is much lighter than the original Arkham's. This was necesary in order for the flight system to be self maintaining, and has less mass than the Gosan L frame. The Peregrine can not sustain a tremendous amount of damage.

The primary thrust drives are independant gimble, allowing for a surprising amount of manueverability. While they don't seem large enough provide powered flight, they use micro-reactors to generate the necesary thrust.

Additionally, the thrusters mounted to the calves are independantly rotating. These thrusters aide in manuevering and lift generation. When used properly, these thrusters can provide quick power slides.

The Peregrine's primary weapon is the cannon arm. On the left hand is a smaller buckler type shield. The only other weapons are the elbow mounted beamsabres. The Peregrine could possibly be mounted with missiles, though that option has not been explored.

Hikaru has shown great skill in shooting down the aerial drones as well as providing air support for the ground units. Due to the fact that the Peregrine practically gulps its power supply in 2 hours, a power station must be maintained near the battlefield to allow for powercell exchanges.

CREATOR'S NOTES:

Well guys, here it is, the latest AEGAKS of mine.

Neil Dynamo gets credit for the name, as it was his suggestion.

Hope you guys like it!

Quoting RICtendo (Hungry) Excellent design! The armouring and weapons look awesome. Inspired by g-exes/g-bouncer from gundam AGE?
No, it's not inspired by Gundam Age, though the AGE system is close to the idea of the mobile manufacturies I imagined that the humans use.

Quoting Mike Johnson Classic mecha goodness all over. I think when the Mocathalon is all over I need to build another one of these (something more conventional this time) at my own snails pace instead of thje break-neck pace I've been trying to keep up with!
I look foreward to what you have in mind.

Quoting Cody G Excellent work! I think the boosters could have been a little more detailed, but still a great and worthy addition to the AEGAKS army.
I have to agree. However, I was somewhat strapped for parts, and made due with what I had. I'll keep that under advisement when I begin to tinker with it.

Quoting Shadowa Heartfelt Very Pure and Ingenious. The Thrusters are unique, and new. Seems fitting for Hikaru to be the Peregrine's pilot.
Hikaru is the pilot because this is my AEGAKS version of his original mecha from the first generation of the Exo Force Theme.

Quoting Artemiy Karpinsky It's another great AEGAKS from you! I love the color scheme and structure of this MOC. I wish I could feel it by my own fingers.
Thanks. I was originally worried about the shoulders but they fight nicely as well.

Quoting Liam Covey Not bad, not bad. Wouldn't mind seeing the blaster arm beefed up a bit, but it's otherwise very good. The buckler shield, for some strange reason, appeals to me the most out of this entire build.
Glad you liked the buckler, it was an odd addition, but suited the design well. As for the cannon arm, I tried to make it light on purpose. After all, this AEGAKS has to be light in order to remain airborne. Thank you for the feedback.

aww, COME ON!!! I've been saving the name Peregrine for months as a Mech name, and you just come along and steal it? >:( ...I'm kidding, obviously. :P I'm just getting a bit bugged at how all my creative and unique Mech/ship names are always somehow being taken. it's like some evil villain is reading my mind, taking all my Mech names, and giving them to other people... :P Anyway, enough about that. this, Rabid, is a VERY cool Mech. I love the thruster systems and what-not you've put into this, very cool.

I couldn't expect less from you. The peregrine is very sleek, yet it gives the impression that can deal a real pain to any enemy. the buckler is simple, but very beautiful, specially with the stickers on it.
