In a medieval forest, a simple lumberjack is granted the greatest power of all time.

About this creation

"BUILD!" is the second music video we created here at Paganomation for the LEGO Club Show in 2010. It's become one of our most popular videos, which still surprises me to this day. I guess you just can't underestimate the power of ROCK.

After we got the music track from LEGO and a brief on the general idea behind the video, we started by making a few concept sketches of our main character, the lumberjack. We ended up going with a combination of concepts #1 and #6, as seen below.

From there, we designed and built the forest and the castle, as well as the creations that transform in the video, like the Knight and Troll Mechs, the Haycart Dragster, and the Cart Monster.

We also had to build a micro forest for the opening shot:

Once everything's built, it's just on to animation! My associate animator on this music video was the very talented Matt Witham.
