The apocalypse has come and gone (it's not important which chiche disaster it was), the world is shattered so the best paradise is the last fertile land left on Earth, right?
About this creation
This is Tropical Paradise for Team GAIA in the MocAthalon

The last fertile land left on Earth, urban landscape, and I am in charge, the perfect paradise for me.
After the disaster mankind struggled, but unlike your typical apocalypse: there are no mutants/zombies, no tyrannical government, just a lot of destruction. Out of that destruction came a man (me ;) ), that person searched the wastes for survivors, and eventually settled an area. After many years, this is a result; a rebuilt utopia of sorts. We decided to call it Final Salvation, it has a nice ring to it.

My ruling is very fair, we work together and those that refuse to help/criminals, are tossed out.

Life here is great, you can party with friends…

…participate in various social situations…

…and enjoy our recently purified, albeit small, coastline.

Highly trained security forces and a 30 foot wall around the perimeter keep you very safe. Unless you steal something, then you’re boxed in and will be hunted down.

Occasionally, our aerial patrols will find other survivors or they will stroll on up to the gates. These people will be cleaned and offered housing, as well as a relatively painless shot to boost their immune system.

Some of the survivors were much better at surviving. The man on the left will probably be recruited into our security ranks, that guy on the right will probably die in the next few minutes (through no fault of ours).

You must work to live here, we alternate positions to prevent boredom.

Some of the jobs are much more… dirty than others.
This settlement has many buildings, but I only had the resources to include one in the MOC.

In the basement of this structure is the armory, a closet for my personal Power Armor, and a table strewn with my personal weaponry.

The main armory is through that door.

The roof has a Jacuzzi and is host to parties to relieve the tension residents may have.

The top floor has my personal quarters, but since I rule fairly and force others to make sacrifices…

…the security command center is here as well. You may have noticed the furniture here isn’t very ‘homey’ , that’s because we ransacked a military base and took everything that wasn’t smashed.

Our computer software came from that base as well; it links up with similar centers around.
The second floor is basic residential housing.

The bottom floor is the lobby.

The attendants here can help you with anything housing related.

And like every place in this settlement, it is cleaned frequently.
//Fourth Wall with removed figures//

The beach, and waterfront turned out great, and the terrain was achieved using the same method in my last entry.

I included a very small garden to the set-up, adding the “paradise” look.

I like how the road looks; it took up a surprising amount of my gray collection.

The road is actually a separate half of the build.
The building was made to look cheap, but stylish.

I’m not very happy with the tile work on the roof, but I ran out.
I was going to show what the wastes looked like, but this is close enough to the ApocaLego category. And to avoid any further confusion: this is the Tropical Paradise category.

I would have liked a far shot showing all the interior at once though.
Darn, the one picture I forgot to include. |

Agreeing with Chris, the apoc part of this was very underplayed. However, the build wasn't terrible. Score: a solid 3
The apoc aspect was underplayed because it's not the ApocaMoc category. |

I don't understand either, this is flipping amazing! The judges must be smoking Kelso's paints to give threes and fours, this deserves easy fives. The road pattern is well done, I like how you include various different lines and the roadblock. The short wall along the path is cool too, especially the little lamps. The building is excellent, and the extensive interior blew me away. I would have liked a far shot showing all the interior at once though. In conclusion, stunning build! |

I don't understand this; I increase the size and detail of my builds, but the reception is dwindling... |

Brilliant build! Tons of great details here! If I was to survive an apocalypse, I'd definitely want to stay there.
Given the choices I think anyone would want to. ;) |

Honestly, I couldn't tell if this was the paradise or Apoc category until the end where you said it. Not gonna dock any points for that, just thought I should let you know it was kind of confusing. Anyway, not a bad little scene here. Score of 4 ~ Chris.
I put a notice at the bottom to combat that issue. |

Do you really want an alarm clock in your "tropical paradise"?
The alarm function was removed long ago, I just want to know what time it is. |

Great build! Interesting story, too.
Thanks, I thought the judges would appreciate a little outside the box thinking. |

You should have put that in Zombie Apoc
That would be inappropriate since I stated above this isn't a cliche apocalypse. Please take the time to read through what I write, it really ticks me off when you don't. |

This is very cool. :D That's a lot of tiling. :) Well done!
I consider myself to have a small tile collection, but now that I look at it, I have a decent collecton. |
