Due to the lack of urbanization in the Agricultural Sector, the SPA of that area used mostly light vehicles and aircraft to patrol its area. The "Dilant" LCVs were the vehicle of choice.
About this creation
Due to the aging nature of the Savant LCV, and its subsequent redeployment for training purposes, the SPA found itself lacking in lightly armored vehicles. The solution to that need was found in the "Dilant" LCV.

While the Savant was mostly used for heavy weaponry and artillery, the Dilant is a much lighter, and subsequently faster vehicle, allowing for the rapid reaction and response necesary in fighting the drones. To that end, several variants of the Dilant were developed.

The first and most common variant is the assault variant, denoted as the A model. This model features a machine gun turret that is limitedly neural linked to the operator through a special eye piece.

This eyepiece allows the operator to see through the camera of the gun, and aim the gun and fire it safely from the driver's seat, instead of placing a gunner at risk.

The second variant is a recon unit equipped with a mobile radar, and is denoted as the R model. This unit's primary focus is to gather intelligence and report that intelligence to the SPA units in which it has been assigned.

Because the R model's equipment is a radar unit, it is unarmed and must be escorted, usually by an A model, or by a half squad of infantry.

This variant is the reason that it was chosen to replace the Savant LCV. Denoted as the M model, this variant is equiped with twin missile launchers for use against heavier drone armor.

While able to mobilize only half the weaponry that the Savant was able to, the M model Dilant is cheaper and easier to deploy while being far more energy efficient. With the resources required to manufacture a single Savant, three Dilants could be manufactured and deployed.

The final variant produced is the T model, the type denoted for training. This model varies much more than the others as it does not require the engine box and armor that the other variants require. As such the backside looks very much like the front.

The T model is exclusively for training, and can not mount weapons of any kind, instead mounting sophisticated sensors and software to simulate battle. A few cases of weapons being welded to the frame have occured, but often with disasterous results. It is highly recommended to avoid doing this.

Seen here, a training model Dilant next to a Savant that has been designated for training. Unlike the Dilant, the older Savants did not remove their launchers, and instead mount dummy missiles in the launchers with the needed sensors and software.
CREATOR'S NOTES:

So, I was in Kroger today, doing some shopping with my mother after having lunch, and I found TREASURE! A whole bin of lego sets for clearance! I got five of these bad boys for less than $20. What a find! So, I did what I always do, heavily modify them to suit my imagination. I am very pleased.

And here is a slight preview for you guys to see what is coming up next. Enjoy!
Well, that's it for now, just a random bit of speed building fun. Have a nice day.

When I saw the 7050 for the first time, I thought: cooool... But the Dilants surpassed it a lot in coolness! Great work with these speedies! |
