PhotoBot Mark 3
PhotoBot Mark 3 is great at taking long time lapses.
About this creation
Getting a robot to push a button is way harder than it sounds. After getting fed up with using a motor, I tried pneumatics. I looked up how to build the compressor-switch mechanism from the Ultimate Builder's CD, which pumps an air cylinder and switches the direction with one motor. (A sub-model in this file.) The original bent liftarm that moved the switch kept falling off, so I had to modify it so it stays locked in place.
Then, it was easy to position 2x4 bricks to hold the camera still on the base, and program it to press the shutter once every 1 minute. Check out some movies on the Brickshelf link.

This looks cool. I don't know much about Lego robotics but nonetheless it looks very interesting. Could you rig up a mirror so it can take it's own self-portrait? Love your "Rat" vehicle too!
