SAINT PATRICK'S DAY - Saturday, March 17, 2012. I went to the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Manhattan today! It started at 44th Street and wound up at 79th and Fifth Avenue. I got off the subway at 77th Street and enjoyed the parade. As my custom I walked to 57th and Fifth and went to visit F.A.O. SCHWARTZ but this visit was special because F.A.O. SCHWARTZ is celebrating 150 years in business! They are celebrating by setting up museum quality exhibits to showcase the toys that were a major part of its glorious history! Even though TOYS'R'US purchased the F.A.O SCHWARTZ stores they kept its name alive! One of the toys on display of course was LEGO! I even got some of the newest exhibits like the Statue of Liberty and myself with the new FRIENDS girls! I wish I had more time to explore all the tributes. I am presenting all the pictures I took! ENJOY! You younger builders will get a chance to learn about toys that were tops before you were born and the older builders will be going down Memory Lane! Share this with the whole family ... call them over to the computer!
