About this creation
Introduction: It might be a bit late into the contest but here it is, my entry for the second contest run by LTE.
The theme is Racing mecha. Conditions: the mechs must have wheels and can only be 21 bricks high at most.
I'd like to give many thanks for Andrew Hump-Free for helping me with the picture editing! Also kudos for the great main pic!
Other contestants:
RAS-12 "JackRabbit" by Rabid Goldfish
Team GB "RoadRunner" by andros tempest
RMX-8 by aaron yates
Bagheera by Chris D.
Peregrinus by Andrew AKA Hump-Free
Tempest by Ariklego
If you are a Mech Builder, feel free to check out the Contest.

The CG-2 "Lancelot Blitz" GT is a state of the art racing mech designed with the sole purpose of winning and to achieve that, the machine requires a skilled pilot.

However, a skilled pilot isn't always enough and for that reason, the creators of this "swift demon" blessed it with speed and agility in the form of a 3000HP engine and with a pair of the cutting edge technology Landspinner Propulsion System(Yes, if you're wondering, this is from Code Geass).

On feet the Lancelot can easily obtain a running speed of 120km/h, however when the Landspinners are active, this speed can jump up to 350km/h without the loss of manuverability and turning. Each wheel has it's own break system that can slow down the machine from top speed to 0 in a matter of a split second.

Now, people would think, "what can a fast monster like this do when there are obstacles on the track?", the answer is simple: Since the legs and the landspinners themselves can each pivot, these can be used to move off the ground using the surrounding surfaces as points of contact, or simply make a jump.

The Lancelot can also participate in night races, even low visibility can't stand in it's way to reach the goal.

The lancelot is a tall machine (a little shorter then 21 bricks).

Alt colors:

"White Knight"

"Graphite"

"Hunter"

"Downhill Dive" (tribute to Hump-Free's entry)

"Torque"

"Venom"

IGPX Team Satomi colors (from the IGPX series)

A wave for the crowd!
Hope you all enjoyed it! Thanks for viewing!

*poke poke* Hey, just checking for a pulse, and to say that I happened upon this beauty again. ^Blub^
No worries I'm still alive and kicking, tough lately I seriously had almost 0 motivation to post or to create at all. I got a few projects finished tough...I'll post them sometime soon, so you can expect some new MOCs coming. I also have two, new style, smaller scale mechas with a very futuristic feel to them, I'll probably post those first when I'm done with the presentation..so maybe this weekend. Until then! |

This is an increadible racing mech! The color schemes are very original, and you did a great job all of the points of articulation. Since you were so very helpfull on my last sunshine could you perhaps take a look at the new one? |

Hey Thomas! You may or may not have known this, but the Elite Mechaniers group now has a forum for everyone to communicate on. We would love to have you over there, and your moderator ranking here would ensure you an equal rank-up over there. Here's our link, hope to see you! http://elitemechaniers.forumotion.com/
Thanks for the invitation! I knew about the forum but I didn't had much time to join, and for some time now (as you may have noticed) I haven't posted anything on MOCpages either...tough that doesn't mean I don't have any MOCs done. :P
I'll try to be a bit more active from now on, and I have tons of creations to post actually!

It's an interesting frame, ticks all the boxes for a racer. But, I look at it and I don't see streamlined I see lots of hard angles. Whether built from some ultra-future metal or not, this is going to cause drag.
A good entry, but I don't feel it's the best entry.
Well, if we think about it rationaly, the idea of a racing mech itself is strange since it's not a car that lies on the ground, but a mech that stands. Now, I don't know if you looked at it in LDD but it sure has a lot of streamlined parts and vents where the air flows trough. It might not be the anorexic design type, but it's still a lot slimmer then most mechs. And honestly...I'm not a big fan of legs that look as thin as a stick. |

Also, Thomas, they have Anti-Friction Metal, that are graphite treated and largely self-lubricated, which offers good resistance to compression and has the lowest co-efficient of friction of any known bearing metal. I assumed the bottom of the feet were made from a developed version of such metals.
Good to know, I didn't really find this information anywhere.

Hey its been a while. This is a great racer, as was HF's but what makes this stand out even more, was the details on the back. The exhaust pipes and engine really make this look like a detailed mech, instead of just a few bricks which resemble a robot. Really cool entry, I'm rootin' for ya.
Thanks! Yeah I've been doing lots of things and didn't have much time(and mood) to post anything, but no worries...I already have about 5 new MOCs completed(two of these are remixes of older MOCs). I had fun building this tough it took me a while 'till I felt satisfied about it.

I agree with you on that, the work Thomas put into this to make it feel like a Racer is why I offered to edit his images. Unlike mine, which was put together due to boredom and modified to fit the Rules, Thomas designed this unit to embrace the Racer feel. The Detail he put into the Back is why I chose the pose you see for the Main Picture. Compared to this, my ex-entry, while technically a racer of sorts, it lacked the Racer Feel due to the fact I designed it as a Training Frame, not a Racer. |

well, it's definitely pretty good. some things that immediately pops out at me are the wheels and feet. maybe it's just because I have absolutely no knowledge at all of Eastern-style Mechs (and especially not racer Mechs), but I can't grasp how those wheels would actually work. I mean, due to the laws of physics, there's obviously no way wheels like those could lift the Mech off the ground. and if it that's the case, the feet in front are going to create massive amounts of friction. but hey, maybe that's just me. and other than the wheels and the twice-as-long-as-they-should-be feet, it's a really nice Mech. oopsie, another essay... :P
Truth is, that in the anime where I got the idea from for this system, the feet didn't have any extra smaller built in wheel(s) to lessen friction. However it could be easily explained with adding small wheels directly under the feet, but sadly this is "mini" scale so it's virtually impossible to add these small wheels.
So weather you accept this explanation or not, it's up to you. :P |

Well this one isn't a knightmare tough I used the same landspinner method. However I do plan to build at least two Knightmare frames in the near future. The Vincent is on my list and thanks! |
