4: St. Patrick’s Day
Build a wicked cool St. Patrick’s Day MOC. Anything you wish, but the theme must be St. Patrick’s Day. 16x16 or smaller.
Here we have my first entry for the MOCathalon 2012
You can't celebrate St. Patrick's Day without a perfect pint of Guinness, and there's no better place to put it than under a rainbow with a four leaf shamrock and a pot of gold.
I hope you like it and more importantly Happy St. Patrick's Day!

if it would have been possible to get the fig in the pot, it would have rocked more, but, it s still funny! |

Folks, I answered this question already, overhang is allowed as long as the BASE is 16x16. Your score = 4 |

Great work on the coloring for the rainbow. Score: a very solid 3 |

I think a little bit of overhang isn't a big deal, especially considering that the rainbow would probably fit if it was flipped diagonally on the baseplate. |

If you can provide a picture of this sitting on the 16x16 baseplate, I think that will suffice. Ok all done now thanks for the leniency :-) |

Non-scoring comment: Dude... this is just KILLER! But like Blake said, it's over on the size. If you placed it "as is" on a baseplate it would be 20 wide... God, I'd HATE to zero this thing... it's frakin awesome! We'll be back. ~ Chris. Thanks ever so for the kind words Chris! I have taken a photo of them all on a 16x16 baseplate with the rainbow balanced on the pint. Would you like me to add that as proof that they fit (admittedly with quite a lot of overhang and not quite the same effect). I'd also hate to receive zeros but it's not the end of the world if I do, rules are rules and I was a bit of a plonker for not obiding by them. It was truly unintentional. |

Theoretically, it doesn't actually fulfill the size requirements. I shall discuss this with the other judges but any other info you can give will be helpful. Hey Blake, I wasn't intentionally stretching the boundaries, I'm sure I could re-shuffle the pieces to fit on a 16x16 plate if required (with a little overhang). To be honest I accidentely overlooked those dimensions. I hope I'm not penalised for it, but I will understand if I am. |

Very cool! The rainbow is particularly nice, and the rest nicely built. I like how you put the different pieces in the glass (the glass is real, right? Not LEGO). Great work! Hopefully this gets high scores from the judges - good luck! PS I've sent you a message on Flickr concerning the MocAthalon. 5/5 -LB Jr. |
