Lego F1 2012. This car is a refreshed version of my 2011 car, and has many of the features that this year's crop of F1 cars have.
About this creation

Side profile.

Intimidating head on view.

This engine cover is new - the slot at the back is for cooling.

Both arial views show how much the bodywork tapers to a point at the rear.

The super high noses are gone for this year. Here's a closer look at the new stepped nose.

New extended floor and plank.

A look at the strakes on the lower part of the rear wing.

Closer look at new underside of monocoque and tea tray splitter. Also visible is one of the new side vanes on the sidepod.

All of the major parts that can be removed from the car.

A look at the updated monocoque. A full size minifig fits completely.

Profile of monocoque. I've kept the blade style roll structure and airscoop from last season.

Quoting joel seow Wow, the details! What i like best about this is how the body tapers to such a small width, i'm sure that will help lots with the aerodynamics! (I also like your wealth of previous F1 cars) But isn't the ride height a little too high? Could you please also check out my 2012 Ferrari F1? :) http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/324589
Thanks! It was a real challenge at this scale to get the rear bodywork down to a small point. The rear ride height may be a bit too much...maybe I'll take away the rake next year. Sure, I'll look at your car. :)

Quoting joel seow oh yes, i absolutely must say this, the blade style roll structure and the intake is brilliant! but isn't it outlawed?
Thanks! I think the ruling now is that you may have a blade style roll hoop if you'd like, but it must be no thinner than certain dimensions...which may be why no one is running with the blade style at the moment.

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Hi Dan. I real like this. Your have captured some of the new features very well. The new nose is very accurate (not a fan myself). I especially like your rear wing, tea tray splitter and air intake/blade. You have used some nice techniques. I am due to rebuild my mclaren into 2012 spec asap.
Thanks! I look forwards to seeing your rebuilt McLaren!
