5867 Forklift
It seems like I just can't get enough from Creator set 5867 Super Speedster. This forklift is my 18th alternate.
About this creation
This is what happens when a brain starts to go creative; instead of some kind of sportscar you end up with a forklift. Apparently it just had to go like that, because once I moved toward the idea of a forklift, every element I added was almost immediately at the right spot. The model was therefore pretty much done in an hour. Of course afterwards some parts were slightly changed for optimisation.

The engine is placed all the way at the back, even sticking out slightly behind the rear axle. This is to compensate for the potential ballast on the front.

The roof is a very important safety element on a forklift, because it protects the driver in case heavy stuff drops down.

Due to optical illusion, it looks like the rear wheels are slightly smaller and tucked inside more. There are some big lights on the front for optimal visibility.

This also helps someone else to see the forklift. The indicators have a prominent place on the vehicle as well, so others can see where it tends to go.

You could even say that this forklift has some functionality with the folding forks and tilting mast. Because the driver often has to hop quickly inside and outside the vehicle there are no doors.

Here's a close up shot from the interior. The driver's seat and steering column are placed central, so the driver has the best overview on both sides of the vehicle. The big mirrors help as well to see what's behind.

Here's an image of the chassis. It's quite an odd build, but surprisingly sturdy.

What's a forklift without a pallet? How convenient, there is one!

It fits perfectly, and the pieces it is made from are actually some leftovers from the set.

Did you make these with only the pieces from set 5867?

I think this is one of my favorite alternatives you have built. It looks amazing, and you can't even tell that you had limited pieces from only one set. Very cool 5/5

And one more, and again a big surprise! This set and it's possibilities seem to be endless with a LEGO mastermind at work! The shaping is on the spot and the functions are great. And you even had some parts left to add a pallett! Great job, again! :-)) And by the way: Thanks for adding your VVs to the "Owner's Club" :-))

And every time I'm fooled into thinking, he can't possibly make anymore alternates out of this set! And then he goes and proves me wrong, every time :-) Well done, sir!

Another cracker from the Master. Great use of the windscreens and the wheel arches. I love it when a moc comes together quickly. You must be so familiar with this set that it is probably getting 'easier' with every build. I like the pallet too, I always try and use the leftovers and this fits perfectly.
