This is a more accurate model of the ambulances I work on in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Citizens Ambulance Service operates 6 stations (Stations 10-Indiana, 20-Blairsville, 30-Plumville, 40-Hillsdale, 50-Clyde/Armagh, 81-Elderton)throughout Indiana County with Station 81 being in Armstrong County. On any given day we provide virtually the only EMS coverage in the county with 8 ALS Medic units and 1-2 BLS units.
Medic 2 operates out of Station 10 in Indiana.
Medic 2 is one of 3 Medic units (1,2, and 3)providing service to Indiana Borough, Homer City Borough, White Twp, Center Twp, Young Twp, Cherryhill Twp, Clymer Borough, The Village of Coral, The Village of Graceton, Armstrong Twp, and dont forget the Indiana University of PA.
All of our ambulances carry similar gear. We carry ALS equipment such as IVs, Cardiac Monitor, Intubation Kit, and Drugs such as Nitroglycerin, Morphine, Zofran, Valium and Epinephrine. We also have BLS gear and other gear like, Backboards and Imobalization, Splints, Oxygen, Bunker Gear, Fire Extinguishers, Vitals equipment, and of course the stretcher. We work 24hr shifts witha crew of a Paramedic and an EMT
