wip looks. I didn't create the superstructure of the car in one go. at first the moc looked like this. sort of good but sort of short on defining accurate proportions of a typical pickup. looked like a hammer had smashed it s cabin down. so it needed further development
kept on spinning the 165 + few extra parts from set and finally came along this definitive pick-up looking vehicle. it has a classy American pick-up look. the front is full of character and the rest of the car successfully embodies other significant pick-up features.
sideview. a classy pick up look. high bonnet, cabin with enough space for one seat row and a long practical trunk at the back.
there are 2 dark bley plates in the set and they have managed to fit in exactly right place- the bottom of the trunk. it successfully differs in color from the rest of the body and that adds great realism to the car.

Your design is just beautiful. I came to this site with my son and this was his clear #1. Unfortunately it is too fragile for his kind of play and we ended up creating a different pick-up (http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/346798), but yours is way nicer and with some very clever ideas.

Really great design, maybe my fav among your 6743 alternates. Hopefully you use it to create something new like you did with 4433.
ok. let's pray God for that :D in the case of 4433 the dune hopper was something like a creative weirdo and there was lots of room for turnover to a normal car like SUV. as in this case it s already like a casual oldschool pick-up with accurate shaping, etc. although I still see some Moc moding is possibilities like different paint job, removing some studs with tiles or just adding body over trunk and turning this slightly into off-roader. we'll see what will happen.
Wow, it's almost unbelievable how many different models you are getting from this rather small set. The design in on the spot and the parts usage is excellent. And you are right, the windshield is looking a lot better in the upright position. Great job! :-))
I lost 2 SAN points building this with LDD instruction generator. This man is crazy ! He use even the spare parts and don't use 8x2 plates. He' not human is an entity from Ahahah...
Just build it to figure how smart and brilliant this is. And good looking. Thanks you Peteris !
