So I made these from extra pieces... But anyone got any good suggestions for what they could do?
The green/lime one is going to appear in the Ilrion set, so I may wait til the official rules for that one.
From left to right they are : Purple, Black, Green, and Gold.
Hmm... cool. I would use a purple potion probably for teleporting. In my game I use checkpoints on the map (Using the extra 'Shield' pieces for the many dice I have.) If you did something like this, you could teleport to any (Already discovered) checkpoint.
For black, perhaps, you could, (using black magic, of course) when you roll a shield, use another player's ability.
Gold you could use during battle, and maybe transform your opponent into a pillar of 2 gold? Just a thought.
Well mate, the gold could give you gold, the black could kill an enemy, the green could poison other players and the purple could be a choice potion, as in, it gives the player what he/she wants. Just wanted to comment to tell you that i will be trying to create some werewolf involved stories, as soon as i get my uploader working. Great little build too.
i think the black should be a tar potion. It can destroy any monster up to 5 spaces away even around corners. It can also freeze another player for 1 turn if he's within range. A mishap freezes you for 1 turn. The tan potion can be a potion of sand. It can kill any monster up to 3 spaces away in every direction. The purple potion can be a float potion. It lets your character jump over the next two obstacles.
I made a purple potion as well for invincibility. If you are about to fight a monster then you announce that you want to use an invincibility potion and that prevents you from taking damage if you lose. The gold could be after every turn you collect two gold pieces from the store. The black should allow you to kill a fellow player on the board so you can get ahead of them. Where did you get those transparent black and gold pieces, because I have been looking for them!
Those are some interesting ideas. I like the idea of a 'anything' potion, might have to use that one. The black and green sound a bit overpowered for my set of rules! Be interested to know how they remain balanced.
I have thought of the simple rule change, making the yellow strength potion a 'shield/heroica roll' potion, both in battle and in movement/ranged attack.
Purple is my favourite colour. So MY purple potion is a "Potion of everything" when used the player who drinks it decides what kind of potion it is, choosing from the different potions available in the game. Since this is a rather powerful potion, they are very rare.
I have potions that look just like those on my blogsite (and I don't have the Ilrion one featured as I am waiting for the official rules.
You may want to check out my potions post for some ideas.
From the left (excluding the Ilrion potion), I have those potions on my blog listed as follows:
Trans-purple w/ purple cap potion – Teleport potion. Teleports hero to any 6×6 plate within the same (local) map. Cost/Worth 5 Gold
Trans-black w/ black cap potion – Annihilation potion. Defeats all enemies up to 8 spaces in all directions, even around corners. NOTE: A mishap with this potion kills the hero. Cost/Worth 10 Gold.
Trans-yellow w/ gold cap potion – Midas Potion. Turns an enemy into gold (three gold pieces). Cost/Worth 1 Gold
