My 8098 Clone Turbo Tank mods!
About this creation
OK, this is it! This is the final version of the Turbo Tank (after several other "final versions") that Im really satisfied with. I completely changed the interior and took out all the tan colored pieces cause tan and light gray don't match very well in my opinion. I also added some details on the Turbo Tank to make it more accurate to the ones seen in the movie. Also some playing features are built-in to make it more special and more interesting. Like I said, Im really satisfied with the result and hope that you guys also like my modded Clone Turbo Tank. Have fun and enjoy!
As you can see, I completely changed the underpart of the tank. Its all dark gray now and also some small details are added.
Here is a close-up showing the wheel design with small flat pieces to get closer to the regular Turbo Tank look.
On the front, we have 2 Twin-Blasters to hit smaller targets.
The new top design with more SNOT pieces and a dark gray dish. Lego forgot the little light gray hatch in the front that could be used for commanders if it wasnt so tiny :).
Here we have a shot with the side-mounted rocket launchers retracted.
And here we have them detracted. Looks cool, doesnt it?

Here is a shot showing the main observation post in detracted mode with an ARF inside.
Retracted. I know that the post is oversized. But... the tank is undersized! Anyway, I wanted to use the look-out and thats why it seems way too big in comparison to the tank. But i still think its a good mod.

Here is the redesigned top turret. I think its very accurate to the one in the movie, isnt it?
The "new" back part with much more greebling details. Maybe the best modification in my opinion.
The last mod on the outside is the redesigned back laser turret. There is no trooper inside anymore and it cant move up and down, but i think it looks fantastic.
OK, so now, lets look at the inside! Here is the front with 3 pilots and a commander. Blaster rifles are placed in the 2 corners. I really like the windows inside the cockpit.
Here is the main trooper bay: 6 clone troopers, 8 blasters and some bacta and ammo storage behind the seats.

Everything is supported by a large light on the top.
Behind the trooper bay, there is the command center with a holodesk, lightsaber holders and 2 seats attached to the walls.
Here we have the second seat. Hi, Anakin!
Behind the command center, there is the engine of the tank.
And in the rear compartment is space for 2 other pilots and 2 gunners to control the weapons.
Close-up without minifigs. Bacta and ammo mustnt miss in this compartment because it isn't connected to the rest of the tank.

Really nice interior you made! i got this model too and the way Lego make is to much "empty" and small, and you made it very nice. |

OK, OK. But thats not sooo important, is it? I changed it anyway. I called it "medium laser cannons". Thats what i found out when i searched the name. Thanks for the advice! |

I mean the thick technicy part in the middle that supports the main axel in where the handle to carry it is. All attempts to remove it have failed... But I am moding mine with some of your designs! I will give credit to you. |
