During the infamous night-raids of the German bombers, the British people took to the underground Subway stations and tunnels, as protection from the thousands of bombs dropping above them. Anyone above ground was either a firefighter, a cop, or just plain crazy. But thanks to the Germans reckless bombing, the RAF was able to rebuild and took to the skies knocking out the Luftwafte.
