Draida Cove
This is my expanded version of Draida Bay called Draida Cove. It contains mainly 2 copies of Draida Bay.
About this creation

An expanded Bay needs an expanded Ship! This mini-set was actually a Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl. I changed the deck and sails to make space for all 6 heroes to fit on.
On the beach to the right you can see giant crabs! (strength of 1) and smooth tiles representing quicksand/mud. If you land in the quicksand you miss a go.

Here we can see the harbour and a lighthouse beacon on the rocks. One of the things I like about heroica is that you can really play with scale, as long as it looks ok :D

As mentioned before, giant crabs! They have a strength/life of 1. The red crab visible on the large map view has a strength/life of 2.
Use the walkway to get to the secret waterfall entrance. If you land in the water you miss a go.

The Goblin general is hidden in the secret cave. The crystal of deflection protects him from the first attack you do (this relic seems odd, and I'm currently figuring out how it could be better). Strength/life of 3. Next to him is his goblin sword. Does damage of 2 (rather than 1) when you roll a 3 in battle.

Yes, you are right. And since Lego chooses this as the official Orc weapon, it is indeed appropriate to use it as such. Although I replaced the swords on my handful of Orc Mini figures ;)

Quoting Yayo . Hmm, I've never been a fan of the Orcish sword, not your rules for it, just the actual looks of it, the way it's sculpted. It looks to fake...
I know what you mean, even on a normal minifig it is a bit comical. It is however the same design as used by the Goblin General on the Draida Box artwork so seemed appropriate.

Quoting Yayo . First of all, the quality of the pictures is just awesome! Bet you own a pretty decent Photo camera ;). Second: What is better then Giant Crabs? Giant Crabs that play around near Quicksand/mud! Another really creative idea! Last but not least, the overall look of this MOC is just really cool, the secret cave, the simple new added rules, the mix of Goblins an d Giant Crabs and the wonderful six player ship are all looking nice!
Thanks, I think I got lucky and had some decent light coming onto my desk from the window :P The quicksand was a last minute creation as I didn't have enough tan and dark tan studded tiles! I've changed the final picture to include the goblin sword for the weapon contest. Glad you like it all!
