Continuing my experiments using prefab pieces for things other than their original intended use, I made a blimp. I originally made the happy civilian version and then added the military version for fun. I must have played too much Command and Conquer: Red Alert as a kid.

About this creation

The military version carries four heavy bunker busting bombs.

The civilian version gives rides to tourists and advertises for tire companies during football games.

Gotcha, I have seen that used on a replica of the ship from 2001 space odyssey before, and it was awesome. Thanks for the info, Chris

It is actually four of part #2409 Name: 1/4 GLOBE 10X10X12 Normally it is a translucent dome piece. If I were determined to make this in real life I would have to spray paint it or cover it in tissue paper or something like that.
