This will be my largest model yet at 21,505 pieces.
About this creation
Designing this model has been a tremendous undertaking which has been ongoing since July. I am proud to say that after nine months of work, a trip to New York City to take pictures, and many late nights (most within the past four weeks straight), I have officially finished designing my largest and most complex model yet: the World Financial Center complex in New York City.
This model uses over 2,400 tan headlight bricks, which just so happen to be one of the most expensive type of headlight brick... Why do I do this to myself?? The complex consists of four post-modern style buildings, each topped by copper roofs which have been so kind as to oxidize, turning to a color that most closely resembles sand green. The windows all will be trans-dark blue. The only reason that they aren't in this digital LDD model is due to the fact that LEGOŽ has not put that color into the program.
At the plaza level, the model will feature a large strip of lower Manhattan's West St, along with complete street details(consistent with all my models), and even the plaza's harbor enclosure of the Hudson River. The Winter Garden glass atrium will not look as tacky as it appears, however, since LDD lacks sufficient manipulable flex tubes for me to make it par to its physical counterpart.
The model will be officially unveiled at the Kenosha LEGO Users Group's upcoming display on May 19th & 20th. Click here for more information.

Hmm... technic pins at the edge of West St?

The half of the road on the World Financial Center seem higher or thicker than the World Wrade Center. How will you be able to attach these to different roads. Besides that this seems like a very great build. Good luck building. |

Very nice job. Tired of angles yet?
I'd say I definitely need a break from oddly angled complexes for a little bit! |

I am snickering at the comment, I would like to see this in real bricks, this is a design feat, that needs to be appreciated in digital form, from one LDD expert to another, "WELL DONE"! Chris |

Once again, son, you simply amaze me!!!!! The WFC looks awesome! It's always cool to watch you put them together and then see the final production! Can't wait to be at the convention with you this year, too! ( And to drive your father crazy with me hanging with the two of you.) |

Very cool, although a bit dark in overall color. Lots of nice details and very realistic looking. |

Wow! The complex geometries are done so elegantly, your hard work has clearly paid off. Beautiful work, I'd love to see it in real bricks |
