My first entry for the Mocathalon. In the category Fairy tales: Release the inner princess in you by making a scene from a fairy tale. Whether its Alice in Wonderland or Snow-White, be sure it contains elements from a fairy tale. It can be a cross between multiple stories, for example, "Little Red Riding hood meets Cinderella climbing the Beanstalk". No size restrictions, just make sure it ends with everyone living "happily ever after"!

The-Team-That-Must-Not-Be-Named
So, just in case you've been stranded on an island for the past 500 years and never heard of the story Sleeping Beauty, I'll write a brief description of it. :)
Once Upon a Time, The king and queen had a baby, and the evil fairy was mad that she wasn't invited to the Birthday party, so she cursed the baby girl, saying that on the princesses 18th birthday she would prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die. When the bad fairy left, a good fairy, who hadn't given the baby a birthday present yet, said that when the princess pricked her finger she wouldn't die but fall to sleep for a hundred years (aahhh, much better than dying.)But the king and queen burned all the spinning wheels in the kingdom, just in case. (They could of at least told her what spinning wheels look like and warn her not to touch one....) So Sleeping Beauty grew up, and on her 18th birthday she wanders around and finds a spinning wheel. She notices that it's really pointy looking, and decides to touch it. (real smart) She then falls into a deep and enchanted sleep. One day a hundred years in the future, Prince Charming decides to take a stroll in the forest, he then comes across Sleeping Beauties enchanted castle. He explores the castle, and finds a beautiful princess asleep, and he kisses her,(how romantic is that really, she's been sleeping for a hundred years and she's most likely snoring and/or drooling....) breaking the enchantment. And they all lived happily ever after. :D
The end.
On to the pictures!

Prince Charming.

Sleeping Beauty.

An over-head shot to show the whole base.
Thanks for looking, hope you liked it. :)

Hey, where did my testosterone go?! =) Truly lovely work, Annie. I love the little forced perspective mountains, even if they did confuse poor Blake. It's a perfect score in my book.~H |

We just tore this story to shreds in a literature class. You've represented it beautifully, and the forced perspective is a nice touch. Well done! |

The details in the floor and bed chamber are truly amazing, but what caught me the most is you detailed the entry beyond the door as well. Most people (myself included) would have ignored this portion.....which earns you a score of 5. |

Ah… here it is… the 1st moc of the contest with the “Annie Touch”! So refreshing… a moc with the tenderness and truth capable of calming the chaotic maelstrom of male egos and centering us all… judges, contestants, onlookers… to what this is all about! How appropriate to choose the theme of ‘Sleeping Beauty’! I love the relaxing feel of her bed chamber with those swagged bed curtains and that cozy blue and white comforter! Have a great time and lots of luck to you and your teammates!
