The only survivor of a ship crash.

That's right, a small ketch was thrown up by the waves and came down right onto a lonely rock at a desolate part of the ocean.

The ship was made using my newly developped ship-building technique, it is still in experimental phase, so far the best I can do is a shipwreck but one very well-shaped ship-wreck it is, eventhough it's only a shipwreck it's definitely my most historically accurate ship. A lot of MOCers don't know how a real ship really looked like considering shape. This is caused particulary by the official LEGO® ships, which are not historical at all but many builders consider those the standard.
I'm also very happy with my rock formation, a major improvement compared to my previous landscaping :)

For the interested; some wip pictures of the ship and a video showing how light and swooshable it is.

All the great ship details are expertly done. You are a master of this theme.

Hmmm, this is a tough one. There are areas with really nice finesse (love the side view of the rocks), while other sections feel a bit rough to me, and perhaps a bit cluttered. If I could go with halve's I put this one at a 3.5, but as it stands I'm going to have to roll with a 3.

Excellent work Sebeus! I really love the ship. I think the castaway part was partly underdone however. Your Score: A well earned 3

Nice build mate... I'm also working on the castaway category for my team, from the first picture I was worried that yours would be better but my fears were quickly evaporated :P

There's a lot to be said for doing what you're good at and your team chose well when you took this category. While the ship is great I woulda liked a bit more on the little island part. 3 SOLID points ~ Chris.

Nice work on the category! I like the boat, but I still don't get the special technique... Keep on this good work.

Very nice Sebeus! I love that new ship technique, I'll have to try it sometime. I love everything about the build, but I agree with Deus that the rock could use a bit of work. I also really like the broken windows. Good luck!

WOW! Your video is amazing. I'll be honest: just by looking at the build itself I thought the structure was quite fragile. I'm impressed with its strength. I think we all have seen that you TOTALLY master ship-wrecks with this technique, so perhaps now it is time for starting more ambitious and yet-intact ships! :D

Well done on the cracked wood and I love how you made the shape. About your rockwork, although the concept is good, it is still very crude and unnatural... You should try filling up the holes a bit, even if you don't connect the pieces you fill the holes with.

Quoting El Barto ! You SHOULD be happy! Some great details here, and it looks like the castaway guy is in pretty good shape for survival. I would like to see some closer shots of the hull, can't quite figure out this new technique of yours. Good luck with the judges!
Well, it's not yet added to the MOCAthalon group so I can still edit this page, I'll upload some wip pics before officially entering ;)
