So this was supposed to be a smaller, faster craft, holding less weapons, but it seems that no matter what I build, it's going to be bulky and militaristic. I originally built this MOC with the landing gear, (though the landing gear needs to be attached, rather than being contained by the MOC, an art I have yet to master), it wasn't until after I finished the ship that I decided to add the stand. I think it gives a dramatic effect. My triumph for this MOC was getting the studs facing all six directions. Thanks for checking it out. Please rate and tell me what you think.

You sure do love those new(ish) republic pilots...
It's more the helmets. It just so happens that the Star Wars outfits usually match the helmets the best. |

Beyond awesome! I love how despite the size of the ship and the structure around the cockpit the pilot is squished in almost like an after thought, very Ala Formula One. |

This is one good looking Ship!! Where do I start... Well first of all I love the wings those look fantastic along with the cockpit. The engines are great too how they connect with the wings is brilliant! Last but not least is the stand I love how when the ship is on the stand it's tipped on it's side. Keep up the great work and happy building :)
P.S. the colors you made this with flow nicely. |

This is a really cool ship but as you say, the crown jewel was getting the studs to go so many different ways...quite a piece of building there...also as usual, you have great detail with this one, especially when it comes to the bottom, which isn't flat and blank like some people's creations |

Please forgive me for commenting three times on this cause thats close to spamming. I was wondering something: Is the landing gear fixed to the spacecraft or is it capable of being retracted inside?
Don't worry about your comments. I don't mind the communication. This question is actually answered in the description of this ship. Unfortunately, I have not yet reached the level of greatness for the retractable landing gear. I am still pretty young out of my dark age. That is actually one of the objectives in my next build, (if not one of the subsequent ones;)). We'll see. |

I think this is my favorite of all your ships! The others are all done very well too, but this one just really hits all the right vibes. It's industrial, yet sleek, and it's colorful without being flashy. The SNOT construction is the icing on the cake. It's obvious you had a clear goal in mind when making the Firestorm. oh yeah, the name is AWESOME!
Thanks. Yeah, I love this one. I must admit, I like the Prowler the best of my ships, but this one holds a little place in my heart for the SNOT work. It is the best of my ships for that aspect. I'm still trying to get something the size of those beasts that you've built in the past, but I'm glad you like this one. |

Ok that's it. I'm sick of only seeing two likes on this thing it deserves like 70. I'm going to advertise this on a few groups if you want.
Wow. Thanks for your enthusiasm. I really mean that. Of course, I agree that it's nothing short of tragic. However, this MOC was posted while the likes meter was down so there should be more, but I guess us builders-of-military-style-vehicles-using-mainly-dark-and-light-bley folks have got to stick together. |

This is excellent! That first photo really caught my eye, the angled stand is a great idea - definitely one I'll be trying at some point! The ship itself is great too, very agressive look and some nice SNOT. I feel your pain re. landing gear, can be a real problem sometimes, but who needs it with a stand like that? ;)
Wow! Thanks a lot, Jon. If I can catch your eye, that's more than I hoped for. I saw that you updated the photos on your page. Your SHIP is looking awesome. I cannot wait to see that thing when it's finished. |

Nice SNOT techniques. I love the greebling on the top for the engines. Looks like a heavy duty space fighter. Great work, Tim.
Thanks a lot, Daniel. Glad you like it. It's funny, it wasn't supposed to be heavy duty. I had the idea of a ship that can get in quick, cause some damage and get out. I came up with one that crashes in and stays for the party;) |
