The PROMETHEUS is a prototype siege mech designed by Dawn Forge to hold ground just outside enemy territory.
About this creation
The PROMETHEUS Siege Mech is a prototype mech from Dawn Forge, it was designed to be the primary weapon in holding ground outside of enemy territory to starve out opposing strongholds.

The PROMETHEUS is an extremely expensive project that includes the most advanced AI a mech has seen to date. The success of auto-fire systems and simulated walking are a high priority in the design

PROMETHEUS stands just over 27 meters tall and weighs over 150 metric tons, and more weight is sure to be added.

Defensive emphasis has been placed on the front of the mech, clearly. The back is swarmed with a network of exposed hoses, a trait Dawn Forge engineers have never been able to overcome.

Above we see two of the three onboard computers, temporarily housed under thick sheets of glass.

The feet are set in a wide stance for increased balance. The hip and knee joints are capable of exerting massive amounts of torque to keep the body upright and to give a relatively brisk walking pace for a mech of this size.

Here's a Dawn Forge soldier for scale, ready for combat!

Hey guys! It's been a while since I've actually posted something, I've been building but I never seem to be happy with my creations, even now I dislike how the head on this guy turned out, it's way to big and doesn't look that great, but oh well. I can't say I'll be more active in the future because school is keeping me really busy, but I'll try and post as much as I can. I feel like doing another Csek diorama, so maybe I'll work on that next.
Until then, I hope you enjoyed!

Very impressive. One minor suggestion though, replace and/or paint over the standard decal on the large dome pieces - just make them plain grey, to avoid the corny LEGO decal. |

i am quiet curious though, as to how you were able to keep it standing, and how you got the joints to work, because i'm failing at that |

Great Job Zane, I love the style, The shape, the way you greabled and detailed it...
This looks very similar to the design of my next mech, but bigger and more BadA...
I havent said this before and will only say it for Moc's I think are most deserving... The UNSC would like to officialy contact you regarding the purchase of you Prometheus Siege Mech and to one day share an alliance with the Dawn Forge. |

Woah, it's huge! I couldn't tell from the main pic, but then I started getting an inkling of its size. I agree with others that the head is the best part, but I particularly love the chin protrusions. Nice aesthetic, especially with the matching design on the loins. |

The only area of improvement I can think of is to cover up the holes on the back of those slopes you used on the legs and the rear of the main body. A couple of technic pins with the studs on one side could fit in the holes, and then you could attach tiles to those.
Yeah I could have done that, I have tried to stay away from that because I think that's kind of a "cheap" technique, and for a while I thought that was something LEGO would never do... but they did include that in one of the mini builds in this year's advent calendar so maybe I'll try it in my next build |

Brilliant work! I'm curious as to how you did the large leg joints. If you would post a how-to, I would be very grateful. As far as the small feet, I like them as they are; good and stompy. The only area of improvement I can think of is to cover up the holes on the back of those slopes you used on the legs and the rear of the main body. The head design is what I would literally consider an all-time favorite from ANY mech I've EVER seen. That's the closest I can come to describing how much I love it, and even that description falls short! The detailing and textures throughout the mech are absolutely exquisite as well. On the flip side, I feel like the legs might be just a little too short, and the feet perhaps a bit small for the proportions of the upper half of the mech. But, I don't want to dwell on that nit-pick. This is one of the finest mechs I've seen in a long time, and in my opinion, one of the few really worthy mech additions to the Dawn Forge line up, outside of Brian's own creations. Fantastic! |

I do love this and all the details and all of your Dawn Forge mocs, I can see what you mean by the head being too big for the legs, I think the head looks great and without the legs it could have been a aerial combat mech of somesorts, but it is a sweet mech :) |

That is one SOLIDLY-built bruiser, Sir. Fine crafting on the angled weapon pods, and with the system bits all over for greeble texture. The details like the 'ports' on the back axle are what really set it off for me. Cheers! |

Wow. The head is just beautiful. I love the attention to detail on this mech. I have but one complaint: the feet are a bit small. Maybe you should add some rear toes or somthing like that to have better proportions. If you didn't, it's still AMAZING. Great job. |

Very Nice! But may I suggest that the feet should be bigger to hold so much weight, the knee and hip joing are nice and big, but it looks like you built the feet first and then build on and it got bigger as you went. So do think I am being mean plz.:( I am just suggesting.
haha any suggestions are more than welcome! that's how we get better :). The funny thing is, I actually started with the hip area and worked my way down, usually I do start with the feet though. I had a few designs for the feet that I went through and I ended up with those; though I agree that they do look small compared to the rest of the mech |

Wow, that is a nice build! The elephant like toes on the feet really lend it a dramatic stance. I really like the configuration. Normally, I think the guns people put on MECs are too big, but in this case, I dare say this massive frame could carry larger main guns! At any rate, it's a righteous MEC. I would love to see it in a dio. Attack! |
