The Epsilon Class Star Bases are gargantuan structures, measuring 10km from tip to toe, with an average population of around 500,000. These bases usually orbit planets that are too inhospitable for human colonisation or terra-forming, yet are important for their resources or strategic value. These massive stations routinely house 5 fighter wings and have a small fleet of vessels under command within a 30,000km patrol radius. To attempt to attack an Epsilon Class facility with no less than 2 battle groups would be foolhardy. In a sick twist of fate, these stations carry a strong resemblance to circa 1960s sci-fi themes...but the joke stops the moment she unleashes her Hyper- Singularity main cannon. In fact, the lower third of the entire station actually houses the massive cannon. It was rumoured that these stations were meant to be placed in geo-synchronous orbits to subjugate the host planet below, with its beam weapon within striking range of any continent within a matter of hours.
