The sun appeared on the horizon a few hours later just as the Republic reinforcements arrived. Two huge Venator-Class cruisers landed nearby and thousands of new troops marched out, ready to be introduced to Charge, their new Commander.

A large team of engineers from the new troops was immediately sent to work on The Manipulator’s engines along with Nightblaze who was the best mechanic remaining in the U.R.S..
At the same time, Flare went into a private meeting with Charge about a subject that nobody was allowed to know.

And so by midday, The Manipulator was up and running again and Charge and Flare’s meeting was over.
Blast and the U.R.S. leaders stood at the base of their flagship’s boarding ramp talking to the base’s commanders and watching the new troops sorting themselves out in the background.
“I’m fairly sure that this is going to be more of a baby-sitting operation than a training one.” Charge was saying, talking about his new soldiers.
“I’m sure it will be fine. And you will do a grand job.” Replied Blast.
Charge smiled. “Ah… and Talking of grand jobs. We would like to thank you for the help you have given us. Without you all, I doubt Flare and I would still be here and the CIS would have a new base. So out of our gratitude, I’ve sent for another Venator and another legion of troops to aid you in your war against the F.I.S.. You can train them up how you will and I’ve heard that the Venator is having a special paint-job in your colours.”

There was much murmuring amongst the leaders and Blast said,
“I… I’m lost for words.”
“That doesn’t happen very often!” Falcon joked and they all laughed.
“Thank you.” Blast said and shook Charge’s hand. “So much.”
“But there is one condition…” Charge announced, dampening the mood slightly.
“Which is?” Blast inquired.

Charge paused for effect then smiled. “You have to go and pick them up.”
Blast sighed in relief. “There’s no problem there. Where will they be?”
“On Ambria. I’ll give you the co-ordinates when you are on board.”
“Well thank you again Commander. Your generosity is unmatched.” Blast bowed his head slightly.

“Trust me, It wasn’t completely my idea.” Charge looked at Flare who was stood next to him. “Speaking of whom… There is one last thing.”
“Yes?”

“With your kind permission,” Flare started, “I would like to join the U.R.S.. I am a great admirer of yours and think I could be a great asset to you in your war. I’ve spoken with Charge and,” he paused and looked at his commander and laughed, remembering their meeting, “he has agreed to let me go.”
Blast didn’t hesitate in answering. “We would be honored.”

Flare looked at Charge for the last time as his commander then walked forward and turned to stand with his new companions.
“It’s settled then.” Blast shook Charge’s hand again.

And so a standard hour later, the U.R.S. leaders and Flare had said goodbye to Charge and Blast had been given the co-ordinates for the pick-up and they now all stood together on The Manipulator’s bridge, looking out over the republic base and Charge ordering his new troops around, thinking about the prospect of getting a new legion and even better; a new cruiser.

The Manipulator rose gracefully from the ground in a cloud of dust and blasted off away from the planet and into hyperspace.
